I do a lot of model railroading and these work great for making buildings and such for your layout. Glue the sides together and these will hold it until it sets. There's a lever on the sliding part that adjusts the tightness. Works great for me doing N scale although I'm sure they'll work for all scales. And they're made in the USA, love it.!

I use these all the time. I work in small scale so theses are perfect. They're so light and for their simplicity, they're adjustable. I'm able to put a hard grip where I need it or a lighter touch for more fragile items.

I used these to help hold wood pieces together until they dried 24 hours later. They worked great, even if they were a little flimsy. Took a minute to figure out how to get them to lock, but after I figured it out, it went easier. I would definitely recommend them for someone needing to hold together hobby parts until glue dries.

Recently I purchased several Excel items that I needed for my hobby, which is model railroading and building models of home and businesses to go on the layout. Unfortunately one of the bar clamps was warped. Not sure how it happened as the wrap was unopened and undamaged. I e-mailed Excel Customer Service, included a picture and within 24 hours I was contacted. They asked for my mailing address and stated they would send out a pack of new ones. After I sent back the requested info they replied they had received my info and the replacement would be sent out shortly. Once they mailed it I was notified it was shipped. Within 3-4 days I had the new replacement. All I can say is my experience with Excel Customer Service was great. I also like the bar clamps. Thank you again Excel!

I bought these for foam airplane model work. They work okay, but are really flimsy and don't stay locked very well. You really have to fiddle with them.Look elsewhere.

These are the simplest, most reliable clamps I have used. I had a set many years ago, and after many years of moving, packing, unpacking, they eventually got either lost or damaged. I was delighted to fond that they were still available. Thank you for such prompt reliable service.

These clamps are minimally functional. The slide function is very stiff and the lock is hard to engage and disengage. I'm using them for miniatures, so they don't have to be heavy duty, but they shouldn't be so difficult to use. I'm not returning because they were relatively cheap and better than nothing, but I certainly don't recommend.

Plastic clamps grip with friction but won't hold for long periods. but works well for my purposes.
