I understand for a lot individuals they use it for blood pressure and bringing down your a1c. However, I know it had a lot of benefits in other regards and I just wanted to write a review perhaps if anyone wants some insight for this supplement taking it for depression and anxiety.At no time and point is this medical advice or the catalyst to start taking this supplement.I have been clinically diagnosed and I have tried various medications/supplements and various therapies to help/treat my depression and anxiety. Now I want to emphasize that, it helped!!!! If I had to describe it, it made my life suck less. I'll continue to take it and update as necessary.IMPORTANT: This will lower blood sugar, I take one pill in morning WITH FOOD and another right before dinner.Again this is solely my experience, I continue to see my doctor regularly and do blood work. I read reviews before purchasing this I wanted to buy US based products, which I found in this. I would first like to say, I was not paid for this review. So I started out with the recommended dose of 2 per day prior to a meal. Day 1~ I had a severe stomach ache. Day 2~ take only one, and no stomach ache or gripe at all. Day 3~ take recommended dose, no problem what so ever! I have severe gallbladder issues that have put me in the Hospital on more than 1 occasion. Day 4~ take dose of 2 caps, no problems, feel lighter and just allover better. My Sister has been checking my glucose levels every morning prior to, and since starting and from the FIRST DAY my levels have gone from 120 to 100 2 hours post prandial. That's huge. If I can prevent something negative with my health, I will. I got on Auto~delivery immediately so I will never be without. Plus, I didn't receive not 1 broken capsule! Not one! I have been taking Berberine for a while to keep diabetes at bay. I tried Metformin but couldn’t tolerate the side effects. Berberine has no side effects for me. My BS in the morning is around 110.The caps are a little big and don’t taste very good but i can manage.

I heard Dr. David Sinclair interviewed about a week ago. As often comes up in interviews with him, as well as in his recent longevity book, he mentioned that part of his (and his father's) daily longevity practices is to take the diabetes medicine metformin. Requires a prescription, though - hard to get unless you're diabetic. But in the recent interview, Sinclair said berberine is "the poor man's metformin". Despite making me wonder what wealth level of woman it would be good for, it made me look into berberine. I found some studies that seem well designed that found berberine to be close to as effective for blood sugar control as metformin, and excellent for lowering blood pressure and more all without any bad side effects. So I decided to be a poor person's David Sinclair and try berberine. I found this product on Amazon, very affordable, high reviews. Been taking it a couple of days. Largish capsules with a lovely pale yellow substance within. Not hard to get down. I don't monitor my blood sugar, but I do check my blood pressure frequently, and just measured it as 106/72 about half an hour ago. That's not out of the ordinary for me, though on the low end of what I usually measure, so berberine is not interfering with my good blood pressure in any case. I haven't noticed any unpleasant side effects. So I plan to keep taking it.

Like other users will find out, particularly the ones that were on an Amazon subscription, the content of the bottles has changed from 150 capsules to 60 only. Customers were of course not notified. The price per bottle may have dropped, but the price per capsule has nearly doubled. Nothing wrong with the product, but I will no longer give my business to such a dishonest company. If I wanted to pursue the matter, this is technically a breach of contract since I signed up for 150 capsules and then only received 60 at a somewhat lower price. Maybe I should consider finding an ambulance-chasing lawyer...
