Great safe if you’re realistic about what you’re buying
This is a great safe. A lot of the negatives I’ve read say that it’s not sturdy enough, but it’s plenty sturdy for what it is. If you think you’re going to store a priceless gun like the one from Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels in this, then you might want to spring for something more expensive. However, this safe is great if you want to keep your guns secure from kids or houseguests, and it serves as an extra obstacle for thieves—yes, if given enough time they could get into it, eventually, but this safe will at least prevent a burglar from just stumbling across your guns. The other criticism is about the fingerprint reader. Yes, it has a harder time reading fingerprints if it’s dirty. Solution? Wipe it off every once in a while. There’s also a keypad and manual keys if you prefer to use those, and they work 100% of the time. I’d ignore all the dramatic comments about the fingerprint reader not working 100% on the first try ( lots of dramatic “your life may depend on it!” comments on here) and just realize that you have other options for opening it if it’s that big a deal. Frankly I keep this safe in the closet and another gun by my bed—I don’t see how jumping up and running to this safe in an emergency should be anyone’s plan in the first place. I have to say though, if the thing you’re worried about is that you’ll hear a noise in your house jump out of bed, run to the closet, only to get murdered just because your fingerprint didn’t read the first time (and you didn’t just use the keypad) then I guess it’s just your time to go. It’s solid, it’s a good price, it’s easy to set up, it can store 5-6 average size long guns (and if you reach out for the door organizer then several handguns as well) and has a neat extra lockbox for papers or ammo or the secret plans that reveal the one weakness of the Death Star. All this and it’s reasonably priced. Will it protect the Crown Jewels from master thieves? No, but you don’t own those anyway.

Great safe, great value
If you want to add a layer of security, while still allowing for firearms to be readily available, this safe is a great option. The fingerprint opening was very easy to program and has worked every time for me, even when I attempt to turn my finger at weird angles to make it harder. My son has also tried to open it without his prints being added and couldn’t fool it. The push button keypad is a nice option too and I can almost open it just as fast with that. There is ample room for the 5 guns inside and it fits a mossberg 28” barrel shotgun with room to spare. Mine is bolted to the concrete floor and the wall stud, so they would have to be super determined to rip it out. It is sturdy enough, that is will definitely slow a thief down, or at least make him have to leave to go and get power tools. It is not air tight or fire rated, but you wouldn’t expect that for the price. Cons: - I’m not a fan of the foam pad in the back wall that the firearms slot into. The connection point is just a slot cut in the foam, so it moves around a fair bit, but If it bugs me that much in the long run, I’ll rig up something else. - The bolts provided are not the best and I found it hard to get them tight, so I went to the store and got some decent concrete bolts and apoxy and this thing is now rock solid.

A sturdy, well made "Strong Box"
Let me start by saying that this item was well packaged from the factory with high density foam, and although the carton did bear some battle scars from shipping, the cabinet was in pristine condition. This cabinet is a secure "Strong Box" as opposed to it being a safe and is meant to safeguard weapons and make it extremely difficult for anyone to access them. I am confident that after securing this cabinet to my wall with the appropriate anchors, it will be very discouraging to would-be thieves to have to spend the amount of time it would take to actually access it. The programming of the biometric scanner was straight forward after I figured out where the red and green programming re-set buttons were located. (inside the door on the hinge side). It would have helped if I took the time to read the booklet cover to cover first..Lol The other frustration was not first knowing that the door should remain in the open and in unlocked position while trying to reprogram the digital code. Once I cleared that hurdle, it was smooth sailing. It is nice that the cabinet comes with emergency access keys that are covered under a lifetime replacement warranty if you ever lose them, so be sure to copy down the cabinet's serial number as well as the serial numbers of the keys. * VERY IMPORTANT: This cabinet comes pre-programmed with two default digital codes of "111" and "123". Both codes need to be programmed, otherwise if you only program the first default code and forget to reprogram the second one, it can easily be opened by anyone who tries "123". UPDATE 07/17/2020 I have found the fingerprint scanner to be pretty finicky at times even after cleaning the lens. I've had to clear out the previous prints and re-enter them a few times, and program different fingers but it is still doesn't open every time on the first attempt, which I find to be annoying. I did receive the complimentary door organizer as promised by the seller, and this thing is very well made and pretty much indestructible. It is constructed of rugged materials and is designed with clips that are simple to install and remain in place. Over all, I am very pleased with this cabinet and door panel organizer. Thank you! As you can see in the photo, I attached a simple base constructed out of scrap 2x6 pine lumber and a piece of 14" plywood that was spray painted black to blend it in with the cabinet. The purpose of the base is to elevate it from my garage floor to protect it from any potential water seepage and it elevates it a bit to ease bending while using the cabinet.

Excellent gun safe
First, it's obvious the seller pays attention to detail and quality. The rifle case arrived extremely well packaged in high density foam, secure and in perfect condition. The safe weighs about 80 lbs so is easy enough to move but not so easy to walk away. The biometric features work perfect - the fingerprint lock is easy to program and works flawlessly. The safe has 2 sets of keys to open the safe in case of emergency from the outside and also to open the inner lock box. I am extremely happy with the quality of the product, especially at this price point. There are 3 ways to open the safe (a digital code that needs to be reprogrammed, a fingerprint lock and a hard key) - all easy to program. The safe comes preprogrammed with 2 codes - both need to be reset to avoid someone coming along and hitting the factory set "111" or "123" access codes. The safe itself is on the tall, thin side but seems stable. I plan to use the supplied bolts to secure to the wall. I will need to add a light for inside the safe as it's difficult to fully see inside. I do not believe this safe would be characterized as "heavy duty" but definitely suits my purpose to keep my guns in a safe location that is not easily accessible to outsiders. I really love this safe and very happy with my purchase. My wife thought I spent more than double the price I actually did based on the quality of the product. Well done. Thank you for getting this produce right. Would definitely recommend!

Great for the price - short code is bad but easy to disable
Works well. The plastic unlocking assembly around the biometrics are a little chintzy but they function and at this price you definitely should not expect anything burglary rated. Keeps the kiddos and such safe so I’m happy with it as rated safes are enormously expensive. You can always remove the batteries if you want to disable the simple 4 digit code as well but you lose biometrics. Easy to program and works.

Decent Gun Locker...
This is a much better product than I expected. Though not an actual "Gun Safe" of the weight and strength of one costing several thousand dollars, it does provide me with a storage locker for my handguns and long guns. I am actually surprised by it's sturdiness and the heavier than expected grade of rolled steel. While it will not deter the dedicated professional thief for more than a fifteen minute inconvenience of cutting through mounting bolts or pry bar assault, it will deter them long enough for the police in my community to arrive. Additionally, it will keep the curious visitor or child from stumbling across a handgun. Also, it's design allows for installation of additional nylon holsters or pouches on inside of door for additional storage of guns and accessories. The paint and finish are quite good, with a very high gloss black finish, inside and out. The finger print registration went flawlessly with registration of six of my fingers, and has read them all and unlocked door as intended. Resetting the number pad code from the factory defaults also went without a hitch and worked perfectly. This is again, not a "Fort Knox" type safe, but IS a decent casual deterrent and central location to store my firearms. I would recommend this to anyone looking for the above described qualities in a firearm storage locker. *NOTE* The day after I reviewed this gun locker, the company contacted me by email and informed me they will be sending me safe door storage for inside the door with holsters and additional pockets at no charge! That's awesome service! Thank you Lucy!!!

Great Value: fingerprint access a real gem. Superb customer service.
Didn't realize how convenient the fingerprint access can be. My old safe was a pain as I used it to store other valuables as well and sometimes the door was left open by accident. Now I will lock the door everytime - no need to look for keys. It's NOT a super heavy bank vault safe (empty safe was semi-easy to carry by me alone - not recommended, though). It's more like a super sturdy locker with a strong/heavy door secured in place by thick bolts: I'd say close to impossiple to pry open. I'm sure a professional with proper tools can crack it open, but until that happens I won't hold that possibility against this economic alternative to a bank vault safe, which requires a specialty company to move and install. Like so many, I used the the packing foam to personalize my safe and protect the items inside. BTW, you'll also totally appreciate the free door organizer (if still available) - get it, it's a must for fast access to lighter items. Lastly, bolt the safe down like immediately as it WILL tip over if empty. I don't use the key code pad at all as the buttons seem somewhat flimsy for daily use - just remember to put in your own code as the safe ships with two obvious factory codes that you don't want to leave on. Overall, very happy with is. Now let's see if the quality lasts... so far so good.

Sturdy Enough for the Price - Fingerprint Lock is Terrible
Sturdy enough for what I need it for and for the price. Reduced the score by 2 stars because it opens using any fingerprint, and has been like that since it came out of the box. Tried resetting it and following the instructions countless times, same issue. I leave the batteries out of the unit and access it using the provided keys instead - no problem in my use case, but also not as described.
