GREAT!!!
Should be 6 stars. If your on the fence about about EGO products get off and just buy them. Powerful, long lasting batteries and superb performance.Out of the box this saw eviscerated a large mesquite and had enough battery left to take down an offensive picnic table.

Electric is a game changer.
Don’t usually leave reviews but I was so impressed that I’m now writing this. I was unsure about ordering this at first. I’ve ran many gas powered chainsaws and wanted to try out this one. I was actually very impressed with the power and the run time of this saw. I was easily able to cut up a few trees on one battery no problem with quite a bit of power left over. The quick chain adjustment knob is actually a game changer. No tools needed to tighten chain or if the chain pops off. Kept me going without a worry. The oil port worked great and doesn’t seem to clog up like some other gas saws. No worry about mixing gas and it’s much cheaper to operate! Overall I would buy this saw again for sure.

Impressive!
I've had a lot of battery tools over the years but I've stayed away from outdoor equipment because I'm even tougher on and more demanding of outdoor equipment than I am my shop tools. A while ago I did get a 6" battery chainsaw, a cheap knockoff, and I was impressed with it. It was so easy to use and it was so useful! Then my 16" Stihl chainsaw died and I was forced to make a choice, electric or gas to replace it. I have a 20" & 28" gas saw for heavy cutting. This is my light duty saw, it's for limbs, small trees, yard cleanup. While it never sees the hardest use, it's the saw I'm most likely to grab for some quick project. While I was skeptical, the reviews both on Amazon and the rest of the internet, had me believing this EGO Power+ CS1611 might be the right choice.Turns out it definitely is the right choice. I had a small tree (about 25 ft tall, 12" diameter) fall over a few days before the saw came. I charged up the battery overnight and got to work in the morning. This saw was every bit as good as my Stihl and in many ways better. It's compact, light-weight, and much quieter. More importantly, it cuts fast. As fast as any small gas chainsaw I've ever had previously. It's well-balanced, the dogs work well, and the no tool chain tensioning is great.I thought the thing I was going to like most about this chainsaw was going to be starting it. Small gas chainsaws are ALWAYS a pain to start, even when they're broken in and perfectly tuned. I was wrong, although just pressing a button to start it is wonderful.Turns out the thing I love best about this saw is the lack of vibration. I've gotten old enough that the vibration of a chainsaw will leave my wrists, elbows, and shoulders sore after even a fairly short bit of use. I cut up the entire tree and the next day there was no soreness because there's almost no vibration. So if you're older, this saw is much easier on your joints. As far as battery life, I'd say that the included 2.5Ah battery is about equivalent to a 1/2 tank of gas in my old Stihl 16". I did the whole tree on one battery but the battery was done at the end. I've already got a 2nd battery and I think if I run through both batteries my body will be done even if the work isn't.So, if you're looking for a great, small, chainsaw and you're on the fence between gas and battery, get off the fence. This is the saw to get!

This has replaced my gas chainsaw - still running great a year later
I have been very surprised at the durability of this electric chainsaw. I had 10 mature trees taken down (75 - 100+ feet tall) professionally and left mostly whole. I have used this Ego chainsaw to cut them into bar-length pieces to then chop with an axe. I have owned 4 chainsaws besides this, and the Ego chainsaw has been the most reliable. I have stopped using my gas chainsaw because this Ego is so simple to use. The battery life is great, though in the picture I am using one from my Ego lawnmower (also a great purchase so far.) The key for me to chain longevity has been to just let the chainsaw do the work. I rest the bar on the fallen tree where I want to cut, and then let the weight of the chainsaw push down the bar as it cuts. A very thick log of maple will be cut entirely in less than a minute. At first I ordered Ego's bar chain oil, but once that ran out I've been using regular bar chain oil since I have so much from my other saws, and haven't noticed any difference in performance. I have been using this about 3 days a week for an hour or two, rotating between cutting off a "choppable" length from the fallen tree then carrying it over to be chopped. So I'm making a dozen or so cuts of significantly large tree trunks. I am not using this non-stop felling many trees, but instead processing these 10 trees and others in my woods casually (trees, vines etc.) I have only replaced the chain 1 time about a month ago, and that was after probably 4 months of regular use. It was extremely easy to replace. This has been a great purchase for me and I would buy it again in a heartbeat. Those who worry it isn't strong enough compared to gas shouldn't worry. I've been cutting down trees for about 10 years on about 30 combined acres over several locations, and this saw is not significantly different than the Husqvarna or Stihl chainsaws I own, other than its reliability. The Ego saw is so simple and reliable that I haven't touched my gas saw probably this entire year. Lastly, it is much quieter, so I can listen to headphones without turning up the volume to a dangerously high amount to hear my phone over a gas engine. I'm sure my neighbors appreciate how much quieter I am. Of course not smelling gas fumes and managing gas and oil mixtures has been great. As long as I have a charged battery and bar oil, I have nothing to worry about with this tool. Great product!
