Best. Keyboard. Ever! (Usually don't write reviews)
Honestly this think is a best for the price. Was kinda a learning curve to get use to but was worth it. The Macro keys are perfect with 3 profiles! That's incredible for this price. Also the keyboard is back-lit with 3 different setting on the brightness. The only thing that could be a con is the font, but I like it, makes it look different.-PROS* Great price* 3 Different settings for brightness* Fast input and no ghosting* Macro keys!-CONSNone! Hopefully this thing will last a while. I'll update the review if anything happens, right now it is great. Truly recommended.

Great gaming keyboard...if you're using a keyboard tray
When I got this keyboard I was looking forward to a backlit keyboard that was both MAC and Windows compatible that is decent for gaming. Right out of the box as soon as I plugged it in I noticed that the backlighting only works if you are looking directly at the keyboard at an almost 90 degree angle. I typically sit at an approximately 45 degree angle from my keyboard, where the lighting does not properly glow causing a distortion on the keys.I believe this was in the design; if I were to guess there is a single strip of light underneath the keyboard keys that is glowing, but since the keyboard keys are larger (simulating the "mechanical" look) the lights are recessed to the point where looking at it from any angle other than almost directly above will distort the letters on the keys. Getting a keyboard tray for under your desk may relieve that issue, as well. But I don't personally use keyboard trays.I've been typing for years so this is not an issue for me from a standpoint of function, but quite a disappointment from the aesthetic of the look. The keyboard itself works very well, very responsive, and the programmable keys are handy for a keyboard of this price point. The keyboard risers underneath barely adds an angle to the keyboard itself. There is only one color, and you have to press FN + ESC to turn the backlight on/dim/off. The "|\" key is to the left of the enter key instead of above, which is not a knock but not what I'm used to. I found more than once pressing that key instead of ENTER by accident. The design is cool looking plastic that is hardly glossy, but I have noticed my palm prints at the base of the keyboard and fingerprints on the bezel...if that's a concern to you as it is not to me.The USB cable is of sufficient length. All in all, not a bad keyboard. I gave it two stars because the backlight is not what it should be, even at the price point. If the backlight is not of concern to you, then this would make a great budget friendly gaming keyboard.

Decent home office keyboard, too.
I really like the feel and sound of the keys. It just feels right. I don't really use it much, if at all, for gaming, but I find that gaming equipment is often superior to "office" equipment. I think it has improved my touch typing skills because of the reach and feel of the keys. I like the back light, because the ambient blue is pleasant and relaxing, and not too bright. I often buy blue lit computer components, because I really like that color. This one is not particularly helpful for finding keys in the dark, though. Also, and the reason I dinged it one star, the font is really funky and difficult to read. If I have to search for a not-often-used key, (like print screen), I have to use a magnifying glass to read them. Aside from that, I am pleased with this purchase.

Poor key design for backlighting
I purchased this keyboard with a backlight, because not being a touch typist and working in a dim room it is needed. Because of the way the keys are made, there is only a very narrow viewing angle where the letters are legible. So in my case nearly useless.

Good keyboard....just needs better backlighting on keys
I bought a backlit keyboard because I needed to stop turning my overhead CF lightbulb on & off everytime I need to use the internet while playing xbox, my tv is up high and the light reflects in it making it hard to see, but the keyboard from Dell is just a bunch of black squares without the bright light. The action of the Vicious Touch is good, not stiff & good rebound, I did need to restart my computer to get the keyboard to respond correctly to Sticky Keys, but I surmise that is more due to Windows 8 then the keyboard. The reason for the three star rating is I was expecting a bit brighter backlighting. The brightest setting still leaves the keys dim like whatever Twisted Gamer uses to letter the keys only works a little. I wish they had used the same method they used to put their logo above the keys on the keys themselves, that and the Num Lock LED are far brighter.

Works like it should and typing feels smooth
I really like this gaming keyboard. It takes a little getting used to because eventually when the computer goes to sleep the keyboard backlights will shut off... then you will need to get the manual out and figure out that pressing the function and esc keys at the same time are how you turn the lights back on.Pro: Has programmable macros at a cheap priceCons: Backlights shut off on their own, requiring to find the manual and actually read it to figure out how to get them to turn back on ;)
