Poor fit, quality control
I am size 10, purchased Large. Extremely oversized. One sock was defective, could see defect on outside and feel it inside. Defect was obvious and definitely should have been caught before leaving the factory. My old Seal-Skins do fit a little large but not this big. I would say Large is good for a size 12 foot, but might be a little loose on an 11. Sent these back and went with Showers Pass, those fit a size 10 foot snugly in Large-X-Large size. The Showers Pass socks cost a little less and look and feel to be high quality, but I haven't given them a serious test for waterproofing yet.

Hey Sealskinz, does this look waterproof to you?
The media could not be loaded. Because it doesn’t look waterproof to me! I bought 3 pairs of Sealskinz socks. I wore one sock from each of 2 pairs (one knee length) on a short walk where I tested them in a clear cold river, worn inside trail running shoes, calf compression sleeves over the socks, gortex rain pants, short gators over the rain pants. I pretty quickly realized something was not right. I went deep enough to over top the mid length sock, so it was expected that sock would fill from the top, it did. Both socks were soaked inside when I returned to my truck, but the knee length one was dry above my ankle, and my calf was dry, so the water went through the sock portion inside the shoe. 2 days later I decided to test all 6 socks by turning them inside out and filling with water. Four socks had never been worn. Water depth/pressure would be the same as if stepping into water. Three out of 6 leaked, 2 of those had never been worn. See my photo and video. Dang, I really wanted these to work for a multi-day caving tour in Vietnam that involved a lot of wading and mud, making waterproof shoes a liability.
