Not here, we wash ours in the dishwasher. After the dry cycle they come out quite hot and any moisture inside evaporates.

What about containing lead?

Stainless steels can contain other toxic metals but do not contain lead. This is what I just learned on Google. I am not sure about the contents of these cups but I trust that they are likely safer than plastics and these have held up well and washed well in the dishwasher
