A big help
This barcode scanner has been a big help to my small business; I used to put the merchandise barcode manually, and now with this is way easier; you aim the barcode on the product towards the scanner, and it will scan 95% immediately, other times you need to move it a little bit up and down. After that, you will have the code directly on your program screen. The design is excellent; it is big enough to keep the counter where customers pay, similar to the one you see at the supermarket. The only issue that bothers; it keeps the red light ON too often; I keep turning it off, but it comes back quickly. The manual does not explain anything; the light activates with any minor movement or shade that the scanner detects around it. Overall is a good product for a fair price.

Zero Lag
This scanner is so fast! It doesn’t miss a beat no matter how fast you go. It even scans things from a considerable distance. You do have to be careful not to double scan though, because it is so fast. I like that this is plug and play. It reads all my bar codes with no problem. If you are looking for speed and accuracy in a barcode scanner, this is it.

Simple 2d scanner
I got this to build a grocery checkout simulator for my daughter. I have a simple program on a laptop that does an online lookup of UPC codes to display an image and sample pricing, so she knows how to manipulate the item to get a successful scan. The design is similar to the self-checkout aisles in the store so she is learning valuable life skills for a changing world.

Easy and accurate.
I've used different wand scanners over the years, but I'm working on a project to catalog my record collection and wanted something to make the job easier. This is absolutely perfect. Because of the large range, you can practically wave the back of an album near the scanner, and it will pick up the barcode. It's also very forgiving on barcodes in less-than-great condition. Admittedly, I'm kind of disappointed with the USB-to-CAT5 connector that this uses. I get the daisychaining aspect of connecting the scanner to another device, but it would be nice if the initial connection could be some USB-to-USB iteration.

Easy Set Up Scanner
This scanner is easy to set up and is very accurate and fast. As a smaller retailer, ease of use and set up is especially important. There have been no product "read" issues and no error codes on the part of the scanner as it works seamlessly with my software. Seems to be designed and manufactured well.
