YAXIComfort TH900/TH610/TH600/TH-X00 Earpads (Leather)

These pads (Alcantra version) on my Fostex TH900 (PW Anniversary Tuning) are exactly what I've been looking for. Since getting TH900 PW, I've been a little let down with the bass quantity after hearing so much about the OG red Fostex bass cannons. With that said, these are the Anniversary Tuning editions so I knew they'd tame the bass, but still I had to eq bass up a bit to be pleased. I have pad swapped a ton with stock pads, Dekoni pads (Fenestrated, Hybrid, Sheepskin) and even some cheap Brainwaves. These Yaxi pads put the rest to shame imo. The treble that could occasionally hurt my ears has been tamed and the bass has been boosted in quantity without losing quality to bleeding into mids. Speaking of which, mids are still great. Overall the sound signature without eq is close to perfect to my ears. Bass boosted, mid hump, and tamed treble. Not to mention they're extremely comfortable and my ears aren't cramped (which they have been with other pads). Can't recommend these highly enough.

Not going to leave a bad review because these pads were not designed or tested for this headphone. I recently bought a pair of Fostex th808s, and I bought these pads hoping to improve the sound. THIS IS NOT THE PAD.There seems to be strange dips in the mid-bass, a higher roll-off on the sub-bass, and treble seems to get higher. This results in a very thin sound, and I do not recommend this combination. Look for other reviews to get a better impression of what this pad will do to your headphone in specific.

I really love how this pad fits and looks on the TH900's. Very comfortable. Also helps the sound immensely from the "stock" version. The stock ear pads are honestly quite terrible on this headphone. They sound way too bright and unenjoyable without EQ. These pads tame the treble, tighten up and give the bass a small boost while retaining a good mid range. Definitely a "smoother" experience. I have a TH900 in Sapphire blue and can easily recommend this to someone. Disclosure: I did end up returning this ear pad because I prefer the sound signature of some of the ZMF pads.. but I still give this ear pad 5 stars. It's very good, comfortable and balanced. Significantly better than stock and I think 99% of people who try this one will really end up enjoying it. Well Done Yaxi, Well done..

Perfect pad for the TH900/909. Enjoy!!

The stock pads on the Ether CX would touch my ears, making them uncomfortable for long listening sessions. I bought the Yaxi Alcantara pads to see if they would improve comfort. While they are better than the stock pads I found that they put a little pressure on my jaw. The ZMF Universe Lambskin pads are even better for the Ether CX. The back-to-front angle on the ZMF pads takes the pressure off of my jaw and the sealed lambskin further improves the bass.
