Nettalk technical department is useless.
Purchased my 1st nettalk aug.25th-2012.activated the device from their site by myself.no problems -phones been worjking for 1 year.renewed my 1 year phone subscription prior to the existing exspireing, and after it exspired my nettalk still worked fine.m,y phone stopped working about 1 week after the renewel.the device was faulty(bad soldiering)The electrical connection would'nt work.thats when i bought a nettalk duo from amazon to replace the existing.I've called nettalk several times, emailed them and ttried to speak to their tech. representative (online chat)impossible to contact.so now her I am-without a telephone.when i call them on there listed phone number all i can get is an automated messwage service.I'm on social secureity disibility-thats why i syarted useing nettalk(cheap phone service)now i don't have a phone service.i'm out $39.94 for the i year nettalk service extension and $26.05 for the device i purchased through Amazon. In addition i've spent a minimum of 15 hours of my personal time trying to activate the new device with my old account or changeing to a new account.PS: I would never purchase or suggest to purchase a netelk device and their phone service.I'll try to survive without a telephone. (THIS IS A TRUE STORY AND 1 OF THE WORST EXSPERIENCES I'VE EVR ENCOUNTERED)keep up the good work Amazon.I would reccomend dropping the nettalk device.

Rediculous
I purchased this unit and after around 6 months use (the unit stayed in one place, was not moved by anything) my calls started to cut out. This was very obviously a physical short of some kind, because if you touched the unit it would reboot. The problem eventually got bad enough that I had to return it. I contacted tech support numerous times, and the phone tech support is worthless (after an hour of holding, I gave up). After much arguing with nettalk support, they very reluctantly issued an RMA (10 months after purchase).I sent my unit in using the RMA prepaid shipping label printed from their website. I NEVER GOT ANYTHING BACK. It's been over a year now, so I definitely waited long enough. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. They treated me like total crap, and in the end basically stole my unit. The very least I expect would be for them to return my defective unit so that I could attempt to repair it myself. Maybe they could have even contacted me.Good riddance I say, I'll never do business with this crooked company again.

Great Phone Line Alternative
The Nettalk Duo Voip by Dell is a great alternative to a land-line telephone. You must have high speed DSL or cable internet in order to use this product. I did not own a land-line and did not use nearly all my cell phone minutes. I found this to be an efficient way to save money.I get a clear signal while talking on the phone. In order to make an outgoing call, you will need to dial the 3-digit area code before the main phone number. I can handle dialing 3-digits if it means I am going to save hundreds of dollars a year. There is no long distance charge for calling anywhere in the United States or Canada. The Nettalk Duo can plug into your computer, modem or wireless router. This way you can still make and receive calls even when your computer is turned off, unlike many of its competitors. After hooking the Duo up, I had to reset my telephone in order for it to register. It has worked great ever since.I highly recommend this product as a cost-saving alternative phone source.

netTALK DUO2 VOIP Telephone Service
From the time I received the unit I have NOT been dissappointed! It was easy to install and a breeze! Works like a charm. The voice quality is as clear as the landline and the other VoIP services I had previously. Nettalk Duo VOIP Telephone Service I've had NO problems with it and am so excited that it only costs me $29 PER YEAR instead of what I was paying which was over $30/month! A savings of $330 a year. Of course the device cost about $30+ but with the initial cost of about $69 (which included the first year of the $29) The ONLY drawback is I have to dial the area code but I have chosen to deal with that gladly!

Great product and service
Decent purchase price. Second year costs $41 with all fees. Not bad for annual phone service. The most important feature to me is the simultaneous ring. It will ring 2 or more phone numbers at once. Whoever picks up first, gets the call. Much better than call forwarding!

Poor call quality, unhelpful customer service.
This is the 2nd netTalk device I own and seems to be inferior to the original DUO. I would highly recommend staying away from this one. Also the only way to even come close to useable call quality is to hardwire it to router and not use wi fi capability.

My only home phone now.
it's been my home phone for more than a year now. The phone calls are clear and there hasn't been any drop calls. The only thing about this product I didn't like was having to dial area code even when calling local numbers.

A piece of crap.
The volume is too low for me to use. I let it sit around too long before hooking it up and could not return it. Further, my E-mails to NetTalk were ignored. So it is trash to me.
