This house is a bit small for a beta with flowing fins. Some places were sharp. Had to smooth it out. Great size for a 3 gallon tank and with smaller fish like tetras, smaller guppies or fry. Otherwise supper cute. But it also doesn't have a resting spot, it's an open bottom and I have it sitting in a spaces where he can flow through.

We had this house in our betta tank about 14 months. We had baby snails with the betta and they got along fine. Within a few days the snails began dying and the betta was laying on its side. We smelled the tank water up close an it had a strong chemical smell . We immediately took out the betta and the small snails that had survived , changed the water and took out all decorations including the plants. (As an added note: we have well water) We let all the decorations dry and then smelled them. The house had the same chemical smell as the tank water. We threw it away. We ordered a ceramic decoration and added some plants back. The betta survived and we only saved one out of the five baby snails. Try a different decoration.

The product is a bit small but seems to be of decent quality, however, it is definitely not safe for an aquarium. The fake moss on top keeps coming off into the water, I tried rinsing it and soaking in a separate bucket for a few days but it is still coming off. The inside is also very sharp so it wouldn’t be safe for a betta. Ended up returning it because the moss kept coming off.
