They come sealed in a vacuum plastic bag and box. In order to inspect them for flaws and use them they have to be laundered. They fluff up quite nicely when washed and dried. The decorative band does shrink a little, but it can be stretched back out when folded. The color only faded a little bit during the first wash. Time will tell how much more, or if they will fade. I own a set of black fade resistant, black wash cloths that have been washed dozens od times and have faded very little. It says "fade resistant", not "fade proof". Upon close inspection I didn't find any flaws, except over run stitching on the ends, which i carefully trimmed shorter. My biggest objection is the large "AMAZON BASIC" white tag on each towel. It's made of some kind of fabric that feels like stiff paper. Hopefully it gets softer with continued washing. My towels are black and the tags are white so they are hard to ignore. The size of each item is generous. The quality is great for such a good deal. I bought another brand at twice the price and returned them because of snags on 3 towels. These didn’t have any snags. There was quite a bit of lint, but I expected it from the first washing of all 18 pieces at one time. They are quite fluffy and seem like they will be absorbent. I recommend these towels.

These are really good value, they fluff up nicely, absorb well are soft and don't have too much lint. The size of the bath towels are perfect. I liked them so much that I ended up buying several more sets to replace all our towels!

Alright towels. True to color and decent sizing. We’re stiff upon opening but after a wash or two they felt soft. However, they may not be the most durable. I’ve only owned them for a month— nothing messy and no cleaning? Just for drying myself off and washing my face, and two towels are already fraying on the ends. Otherwise, I’d say they dry well and absorb a good amount of water. Does what it needs to do and a good price for 100% cotton.

The towels are nice. And larger than I thought. Also, they feel nice to the touch and I love the gray color, now I want to find some rugs that color as well.

If your looking for a decent shape towel and soft this is it, worth the price I brought this 3 months ago and their are still in excellent condition

When I opened the box these towels smelled awful! I don’t know if it was the packaging or what, but I immediately threw them into the washing machine. They are the quality of towels I would expect at this price point. Not very fluffy or soft, but they get the job done and replaced my old stained and torn ones. Overall satisfied with my purchase. Update: #1 my lint trap was absolutely filled to the brim after drying them (bad sign) #2 they left little lint balls all over my skin and floating in my bath. Not great quality towels for sure.

I purchased this set for my Airbnb. They feel really good. Quality is there, thick and absorbes well; guests love them.
