Great solar-powered lamp post light
I really like this post lamp. My wife really likes its look and it appears well made. The price is great vs the three thousand it would have cost to rewire the existing electrical line that is grounded. Installation was a piece of cake - lifting off the old lamp, cutting and capping off the old wiring, putting on the new lamp, screwing it down, and voila! I had allowed the solar cells to charge the battery for about 24 hours, which enabled the light to initially shine for about 10-11 hours. Subsequently, in the winter sunlight lasting about seven hours, the lamp will last about 5-6 hours. Not happy with this, I removed one of the LED bulbs and replaced it with a burned out incandescent bulb. With two bulbs, the lamp now lasts about 7-9 hours, which for the limited winter sunlight, is acceptable to me. I expect that the summer sunlight will enable it to last closer to morning. Even with two instead of three LED bulbs, I'm still impressed with the brightness of the lamp. It compares well with the neighbors' hard-wired lamps. The light sensor does turn on the light quite a bit longer after dusk than typical - toward the end of nautical twilight and maybe into astronomical twighlight.

Luctec London Solar lights over 3 yrs. old withstand 150 mph hurricane winds
Let's start with this: I do not generally leave reviews, but this light is high quality, and I would give it 10 stars if possible. I bought my 1st one three years ago, my second one two years ago, and this year I have purchased three more and plan on buying five more. All the lights work flawlessly, and the oldest running light is over three years old. I have never had to even change the solar battery. These lights produce over 300 lumens and are beautiful. We live in North Florida, and they went through 5 hurricanes in one year. We took direct hits and lost a lot. The Hurricanes took down and destroyed over 200 trees, five buildings, and one car on our property, and the lights stood the storms. I'm so happy with all the purchases of the Lutec Lights. You won't be disappointed! I bought decorative flower pots that look like whiskey barrels at Lowes and poured three 60lbs. bags of Sakrete for the perfect base. These allow you to move if needed, easy to clean glass, and they did not blow down in 150 MPH winds from all the hurricanes.

Illumination
I purchased this to replace my old one. A break in the line, to expensive to fix. Next best thang ,solar. Easy to install. I did it in the morning to catch the sun. Lots of light to light walk way. Very nice. No complaints so far.

Looks great, actual lighting is dim and battery short
Pros - Looks fantastic, excellent quality, I used the ground screw for the post base and it was extremely easy to install. Cons - It doesn't "throw" a lot of light. It's kind of a dim yellow london streetlamp look. Don't expect it to provide a lot of actual illumination, as opposed to looking nice or marking something like the end of your driveway. As others have noted, I really wish the battery lasted longer. I would gladly pay for a battery upgrade where we could get more light + more hours. (my neighbors with wired similar lights have a lot more illumination, but I get it that it's designed to be kind of dim so the battery time lasts longer)

Bright light, looks fantastic
I had an issue with the electricity going to my lamppost. It was unreliable and causing safety concerns not having a light by the walkway. This light looks great and is much brighter than other solar lights i have tried. It was simple to put together. It came with 3 light bulbs. The on/off switch is under the light panel. Keep it off for a day or so before turning it on. Definitely recommend.

Shockingly good
This product is shockingly good, for a solar-powered light. It looks genuinely like a 120v lamp (a fairly dim one, but very acceptable brightness). It is currently summer (so best possible solar conditions), and it seems to be running all night without any trouble. As the daylight wanes, temperatures drop, and nights get longer, we will see how it does... Wintertime update: We are now at our shortest (though not coldest) days of the year. In the winter, we often have very cloudy, gray days, which further hampers the output of solar panels. I am pleased to report that even after the worst solar charging days, the light manages to stay on for 3-4 hours after sunset. On cold, short days that are not so gray, the light stays on at least 6 hours, probably closer to 7. It would be nice if this light had a bit higher solar or battery capacity, to help get us through the darkest days, but I really can't complain. I live in an exceptionally gray area in the winter (Great Lakes region), and it really still does quite fine. So, keeping the review at 5 stars. My one concern is that it seems to be fully cycling the battery each day. Depending on how the electronics manage the battery, this could be putting a lot of wear in it. Time will tell how the battery performs after several years like this.

Only lasted four months!
I bought these August 2025 and they are already not working properly. They are beautiful to look at and looked perfect when I first put them in but now they are super dim and only stay lit for four hours. They only lasted four months and they are very expensive to be replacing every four months. I am so disappointed.

Large and bright, great replacement for old wired post lamps
Better than I expected. Nice large size, warm bright light. Looks great and close comparison to the wired version that stopped working. Easy to assemble as well.
