I have a Galaxy S4 with an extended battery. The phone with the extra battery is big and heavy. This holds the phone perfectly. The holder feels a little fragile but it actually is pretty sturdy. The adjustable arms are sturdy and have a smooth movement. The back is slightly padded so your phone won't get scratched. It fits the vent in my little Hyundai just fine. If I want to remove it it is a little trickier. I use a butter knife to hold the clip down so I can remove it without breaking the clips. My daughter ordered the same holder for her Ford Focus and it fits on her vent too.

I’ve had the High Quality Flexible Air Vent for Apple 6S, 6, 6 Plus, 5S, 5C, 5 ; Samsung Galaxy S6, S5, S4, Note 5, 4, Edge Plus w/ Cushioned Cradle Car Mount for a couple weeks now and I love it, even though it does not hold my Samsung 5 as it states in the description! I have an Otter Box case on my cell and it sits snugly in the arms in the vertical position. My concern was that my cell would not fit in the holder in the horizontal position with or without the cover. However, when I rotated the holder from vertical to the horizontal position with the Otter Box case, it holds my cell without it slipping.(I prefer the horizontal position when I use the GPS.) The adjustable cushioned grips (arms) are great, and when I want to remove the cell I push the clip to release the cell and put it in my purse. Also the adjustable feet on the holder provide extra security when my cell is in the holder. The holder fits perfectly in the vent and I can adjust the airflow in any direction I want. I only gave this product 4 of 5 stars because the arms of the holder does not fit my Samsung 5 in the horizontal position.

I purchased two of these, one for my car and one for my husband's. The air vents in my vehicle are horizontal and it works great. I love how easy it is to remove the phone from the holder (one hand operation) and the stability of this unit. The air vents in my husband's vehicle are vertical; it works, but not as well as in my car. Also, the air vents in my husband's vehicle are fairly close to the steering wheel, so he mounted his on the left side of the steering wheel so it doesn't obstruct operation of windshield wipers, radio, etc. -- it's not as convenient. Overall I'm very happy with this product. I think it's well made and worth what I paid for it.

Most of my issues come from the core design of the product, as vent mounting means you can't adjust the phone's angle much once the mount is installed. Additionally, installing and uninstall felt like jamming the thing in and out of place, although the final result was very stable. I can't say the product was bad or came with defect, but I do wish I had kept the packaging so I could return it as there are better designs on the market.

I really like the design and it worked well for about 1 week. This involved it being used while I drove to and from work, put the phone into the vent okay, placed phone ok, removed phone easily. After about the 7th or 8th time putting my phone into it, the side part/adjustable width parts no longer stay locked. In other words, I widen it to place my phone, then slide the sides toward the middle and it would normally lock in to place to hold the phone. Now, those side parts drift apart from each other after like 1-2 seconds of being gripped to the phone. I've tired re-adjusting it, closing it all the way and opening it all the way, and it still will not adjust to the size of my phone iPhone and stay there. Really upsetting, since it was so good for 1 week, and nothing but normal use over a week showed it's flaws. Do not purchase if there's better options out there.

This charger is certainly better than the Car Phone Mount, Leebotree Car Mount Holder with 3 USB Car Charger (DC5V, 5.5A) for iPhone 6s, 6, Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, Sony, Moto, LG and Other Smartphone (Green) that I'm replacing. However, in my 2012 Toyota Highlander, the mount is hard to install properly and even after a lengthy installation effort, it's not fully secure. It wobbles notably and one arm cannot quite latch.In addition, the angles cannot be adjusted at all, so it has to work in one orientation - no adjustment to improve line-of sight or to reduce glare.I do like the mounting mechanism for the phone. It's simple and easy to both put the phone in the cradle and to remove the phone. The phone is also surprisingly secure in the mount - even if the mount does not have the same solid attachment to the air vent.A final issue would be that the mount blocks almost all the airflow from the vent it is mounted on - which is a negative in ultra-hot climates like where I live. This, however, is an obvious issue with all similar mounts and does not deserve a reduction in point. It is probably offset by the fact that this mounting position serves to keep the phone operating at a cool temperature, which improves charging and efficiency if the phone is used for navigation or other always-on tasks.Came to update my review: I also deducted one more star. The mounting clips were never wide enough to fully go wound the back of the vent slats. Now, finally, the plastic closure for the clip has bent away so much that the clip does not hold on anymore.
