0900-1076 Performance CDI without Rev limiter for the Ruckus 50

My scooter seems a litter faster.

dose the job it supposed to do’!

This is the second one I bought. My scooter really goes 10 miles an hour faster than it originally did. 28 mph was the top speed before the first box I bought. I thought it might have been the issue when I didnt have any electricity going through my scooter, but it wasnt the issue. Thats why I nought a second one. It was actually the ECM. I nought a new one of those, and everything is fine. I also bought a new carburator, and took the airbox off.

Watched a video on how to install. Worked out great. First time I ever felt what you would call torque from the motor. I RUN AROUND 40 TO 45 BETWEEN 7800 AND 8300 RPM. POLINI WITH 6 GRAM SLIDERS, SYNTHETIC OIL 5W20, SYNTHETIC GEAR OIL, AND SMALL WINDSCREEN. Down the bridge I hit 50 mph and 30 to 35 just before the top. you have to break a ruckus in, and everything you do requires break in. well,, except this; this just works. can not compare this to anything else though.

Did everything I expected it to do.Let me begin with this. I did the variator upgrade , exhaust , k&n intake and jetted my carb. I was able to get from 38mph to 42-43 mph that way. I got to the point where I was hitting the rev limiter at about 42 at around 8800 rpm pretty easily. So since I did the CDI last I released the limiter and now I can get to 50mph. I would also recommend a cheap 4 stroke tachometer to go with this so you can watch yourself since you have no upper end protection. I am happy with the purchase but there is no instructions but thanks to youtube I was able to get it done in about 20 min.I mean 50 mph on a 50cc is not bad and with some more tuning I bet I could get a little more. I am 160lb and have a 2011 ruckus with 2,500mi. I've had this installed for a day and have experienced instant results! My Ruckus was 100% stock prior to install and this is currently the only modification. 0-30mph is quicker and it is easy to get up to 40+mph on the flats now. I also noticed ~5mph improvement up a particular hill. I've been able to go 50+ down hill which is a huge help in some areas of Seattle. Im waiting for my other go-fast parts to arrive but am glad I had the opportunity to test this independant of other modifications. I installation is a piece of cake! I do recommend this product but am a little concerned as I've been unable to locate any good information about engine reliability following the installation of this part.Edit (6/13/2021): I've put another 5,000 miles on my Ruckus since installing this and have had zero issues. Highly recommend!

Expensive but it does the job..Install this on my 50cc honda ruckus and you can notice the difference between the other aftermarket CDI's. My old cdi got toasted which is also an aftermarket when I tried to open throtle the scooter for like 5 mins it gets hot and hard to start but this ncy cdi no problem, cold weather just 1 start and it runs automatically. So far no problem.Reminder. When you install NCY CDI your killswitch will diactivate.( i mean is when the engine is running you can not turn it off if you use the killswitch and you need to use the key in order to turn off the motorcycle/scooter)Easy to install but instruction came with the product but you can check it on youtube.

Part worked with little noticeable difference. Tonight, had a blown fuse, replaced fuse and when I turned key on had a complete smoke show in the garage. Poor product QA if a sealed unit like this can dead short in less than 3 hours.
