The whole system (solar panel and flood light) is very compact. Brightness is more than acceptable and actually surprisingly bright for the size. Material seems to be OK.I installed it right after it arrived and everything was in perfect conditions.The only down (that made me give it only 4 stars) is the nonsense the designers had when put the remote sensor on the solar panel instead of the light. My original plan was hiding the panel far from the roof borders, so it wouldn't be visible from ground level, however, because of the stupid remote sensor placement, i had to install the panel right under the gutters (on the wall) in a position that the panel can face the sun and also keep the remote sensor "visible" to the remote control.Edit after several months.Unit worked great but ended up failing. I've contacted the seller and their customer service was so great and impressive that I decided to give the product 5 stars again.I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

For times when I go outside into the backyard from time to time to quickly check on something, I am hesitant to bring along a flashlight or install any permanent light fixture. Solar lights have always been my solution as they do not cost much to maintain and can easily be installed anywhere on the patio, fence, walls, or even trees.PROS- Light output is fairly bright- Solar powered- Easy to install- Solar panel can be turned to some angles for optimal sun capture- Relatively inexpensive- IP65 waterproof for outdoor use (dust proof and protected against water projected from a nozzle)- Remote control (uses 2 AAA batteries, included)- Timer and brightness optionsCONS- No motion sensor- No dusk-to-dawn sensor keeps it from turning on during the dayOverall, this is a great set of solar lighting. I wish they included either a motion or dusk-to-dawn sensor so the lights can stay on longer throughout the night, but for what it is designed to do (light up a wide area), it does very well.

Ya tuve experiencias con unas lamparas anteriormente, y no tuve una grata experiencia, pues la lamparas no tenian la capacidad para soportar de manera optima la interperie, motivo por el cual a estas se les filtro el agua, y al final estas lamparas terminaron dañandose, con estas nuevas lamparas espero no tener ese mismo problema, he colocado el panel solar expuesto a la interperie para recibir carga solar, y la lampara de leds la coloque de forma que no le va a caer agua directamente, y es precisamente, una de las caracteristicas que trae esta lampara, de estar separada la lampara del panel solar. Apenas llevo una semana con estas lamparas, y hasta el momento no he tenido problemas, destaco que tienen muy buen iluminación, y el control remoto tambien muy destacable, toda vez que otros modelos no lo traen.

The light output was bright enough for what I wanted. However the design is very flawed. First thing, the solar panel has arrows on the back indicating which direction is up. If you use the supplied mounting bracket it pivots side to side. In sunny FL the sun does not move left to right, it moves in an overhead arc. You either have to make an angled mount or rotate the solar panel 90 degrees and mount it. (I could get past this flaw)SECOND AND MOST IMPORTANT: it comes with a remote so you can select settings. Sounds good in theory right? Well they mounted the remote receiver on the back of the solar panel and not on the light. So if you mount the light on your roof and want to use the light, you have to go outside and get into a position so the panel can see the remote. Absurd to have to go outside and turn the light on. Sending this one back.

These floodlights seem to be made well enough for the price; however, the sensor for the remote control is located on the solar panel. We mounted the panel outside, of course, but then the remote won't work. We were able to relocate the panel (this is being installed on a goat kidding barn, so we could locate the remote sensor near the eave where we can operate the light from inside the barn); however, I am returning the 2nd one we purchased, because it was going to be installed on the other half which is a storage/feed shed and is more enclosed. No way we could position the sensor to be "line of sight" for the remote in this portion of the barn. Disappointed, but will keep looking!

I love solar lights and have mounted a variety of them around our propertyThis light is incredibly bright. It is so bright that my wife complained that it was keeping her awake and I had to move it!Another dimension for assessing solar lights is how long they shine in the dark. This light lasts overnight and still shines bright as the sun rises. Some of the other solar lights I have bought in the past are not so long lastingThis light also comes with some good mounting equipment. And because the solar collector and the light are connected by a cord (rather than all one piece) you can mount the collector for maximal sun light and mount the light to point in the direction you need lightOverall I am very impressed with this solar light!

Update after using this light for over a year....It still works perfectly. I’m so pleased with this product, that I bought a second one. Might purchase one for the front of the house, too. Really great product. Specially for this price.I wanted a bright enough light for my outside area. Bright enough to be able to read a book but not feeling like I have a spot light on me.I’m very happy with this light. Very easy to install. And it has different kind of settings for the brightness. I can’t tell you how long the light stays on. But it is still very bright by the time I go to bed. Usually after 2 pm. So I’m assuming it stays on all night. I’m probably getting three more to put in every corner of me yard.
