This bowl is very sturdy and well made. Unfortunately you will have to buy additional fitting to install. No installation instructions came with it, but you will need a double ended female 1/2" to 3/4" fitting to install.

This will require additional fittings.. It comes with a male threaded end and your hose will also have a male threaded end.. You need a double female coupler to hook this up. Its not a huge problem but is an inconvenience whixh is why I knocked a star off. Another star for the sharp a$$ edges i had to smooth out so my peta don't get cut. And it has to be removed from the wall or whatever you mount it to for cleaning which is also inconvenient.

Love the fountain. Pretty easy to install. I installed it inside and not outside. Buying the braided line required to install it cost as much as the fountain though. The time and trip to the hardware store to get everything needed might be too much for most people so buying a fountain with all the hardware is probably a better option. Especially if you have 0 knowledge of plumbing. Also it only has one float. A spare would be nice. As well as mounting hardware. Don't forget to buy thick bolts and anchors when mounting to dry wall.

So far, the trough has worked great. I set it up with a 4" PVC reservoir above it with an end cap for a lid. The float IS adjustable, so you can dial in the level.Every morning I dump a pitcher of clean water into the reservoir, and the chickens are using it every day. Eventually, I'm going to hook it up to a rain water collection tank.

Works as advertised. Hook up is standard 1/2” MPT. It appears to be almost bulletproof. The water bowl slopes toward the front, so the water is deepest right at the lip, which is a good design. The plumbing appears to be nylon, which is not particularly robust in UV, so I’ll put a shade over it to block the intense AZ sun.

nice sturdy metal water dish for small pets. had to exchange first one because filling mechanism was wonky and valve leaked. does not come with mounting hardware or mounting instructions.

I installed this for 3 blood hounds. It works amazing! We no longer have to fill their bowl twice a day. Easy to install.

Need another one sent out. The plastic washer has a crack in it which allows the entire unit to leak.
