It's my favorite consommé-flavored stir-fry that can be used in soup or anything, making it convenient, but it's easier to use if there are granules.

My favorite buillon for Asian cooking
This has a better flavor for Asian recipes like soups, adding to fried rice, or stir-fries. I think it might have a slight star anise flavor, which is perfect for how I use it. I still use other chicken bouillon cubes for general chicken flavor but when I want that extra unique flavor I use these. Highly recommend.

My (kind of) soul food base.
Make delicious soup from this. No need special kind, only use house hold items (salt, pepper etc) cabbage, onion, carrot, celery any. and some sausage kind made good diner for me.

EXACTLY what I wanted. I wanted a broth that I could just drink when camping, or just when it's really cold. Tried it at home, and it was really good. I imagine that on a hike it will be even better. I figured as much, coming from Ajinomoto. I tend to trust the big name Japanese brands, as they seem to actually care about their products, not just money. (Kikkoman, Ajinomoto, Nissin...)

The taste of these is great, and I'm definitely a fan. But the cubes are rock hard, making them difficult to crumble, if you only need half a cube. So since my first purchase, I've been going for this same product available in granule form, either in a jar or in small sachets, which are also available online.

Ajinomoto consomme cubes are what I use to make a lot of my dishes automatically taste more Japanese. I didn't receive the original shipment, assumably because of covid restrictions on mail. Samurai Japan were really helpful in sending me a second one and had a great response time.
