Starting Good Habits
I have learned that buying a casebook for any of the areas of law is just a great way to study. I take notes from the textbook and professor's lecture, as well as, stuff I look up in other places and just add it onto the pages as notes for each case. It instantly becomes a keepable reference book for future. Soooo...... which casebook do you purchase since several are published for each area of law. Well, some of them match up to specific textbooks. My Constitution Law textbook did not have a match in the casebook world, so I selected this one. It contains most of the cases in my textbook, but not all. I counter this by writing up those that are not in the casebook with my own brief summaries in the format of the book. I insert them in the section where they most likely would be found based upon the topic the case influences. I add the case name to the sub-menu table of content at the beginning of each chapter. I use punch-holed notebook paper and have inserted the book into a very inexpensive plastic binder to keep the newly added pages into place. I realize that as time goes by, I can add more and more cases as I practice. It is the beginning of a beautiful habit.Lastly, there is a summary cardboard insert in this publishers books on the specialty topic of the law presented in the casebook. Pretty good "stuff".

These Con Law Briefs have been a lifesaver
At my law school, the professor covers almost every case in the Sullivan text, and it is very dense.Con Law is only a one semester course, so it helps to shorten these long cases down into 1-2 page briefs. When I get called on in class, I always keep this handy to answer questions, and it hasn't let me down yet.

GREAT SUMMARIES- easy to understand, explains difficult concepts
easy to understand, helpful to follow along with course material (or read as a substitute... oops).

The summaries are good, and there's some good insight in the briefs
The summaries are good, and there's some good insight in the briefs, but the rules of law that they give you for each case are hit-or-miss. If you depended on the rules that they gave you, you would have a very incomplete and irrelevant understanding of the material. When you actually read the cases, you'll wonder why the hell the author fixated on essentially irrelevant points and completely missed the important stuff.

Helps prepping for class
Law school is extremely time consuming especially when it comes to reading 5-8 pages of cases. This book gives you the concise version that will allow you to be prepared for class in less time!

Helpful
Very helpful for exam prep. Don't rely on it exclusively as you will come up short come test day, but if you want a handy review book, this is the one!
