Do NOT purchase this generator through Amazon. I purchased it in March, had it installed in April by a licensed electrician and it DOES NOT WORK! The battery will not stay charged and Generac has basically given me nothing but the runaround! No one Generac recommends will not repair because I didn’t purchase it from them! With installation I’ve spent well over $4,000 for nothing!

Do not buy from Generac! My generator has not worked since I bought it in November 2024. It has been 9 months of trying to work with their customer service team and their "certified" dealers. I have made at least 10 call to Generac Customer Service over the past few months and still no resolution. They are making me feel like it is MY FAULT that there is no resolution. Worst service department ever!

Did not come with the gas flex which was supposed to come with the generator

We bought this generator thinking it was enough power but then after we ordered it and set it all up, we found out deep in the instructions manual that if you are at a higher elevation it operates at less power and you have to calculate it accordingly inwhich left us not being able to use our generator and we can't seem to sell it locally online even at a discounted rate. By the time we set it up it was just past the expiration of being able to return it. We are really frustrated and not sure what to do. We would buy the correct one that we need, but we can't afford two.

For the other reviews complaining about it they obviously have never set up a generator before to use the auto option you must run the full proper break in cycle with full load on it before auto will work. Instructions are easy to follow, wiring isn't that complicated, works great no issues. Yes it comes set up for natural gas but comes with lp conversion kit and takes 2 mins to convert over to lp no it will not run on gasoline, there is no gas tank duh. It's a good product generac is an awesome brand.

I was really looking forward to getting a Generac as we lose the power quite often in our area. This is a big purchase so before ordering I did quite a bit of research. I was looking for something that was gasoline powered and upon reading the description it said it was gasoline powered, so I decided to go ahead and purchase. A couple of weeks after receiving the Generac I was able to arrange for someone to hook it up for me but when they unboxed the unit it was discovered that it is powered by propane. Needless to say I wasn’t very happy. I contacted the company and they said I could return the Generac at my expense and I would also be charged a 20% restocking fee! I do not think that I should be penalized for a mistake that they obviously made in their description off the item and might I add are continuing to make. Unfortunately now I will have to wait until the spring to get it hooked up and it will end up costing me more money than I had intended, as along with the added installation cost, I will have to purchase a propane tank.

Used this for a week while my solar was being set-up. Had a lot of issues (battery dying more than once) had to do a service call and was told it’s not covered because we used it more than “sparingly” for the week…too many headaches so we sold it

Looks great, delivery was good. Product not used yet
