i decided to try these expensive hard candies, because they're sugar and sugar-substitute free, as well as not containing any typical artificial (usually toxic) ingredients. it's more than i wanna pay, but they're satisfying enough to make it worth it. i don't go out of my way to avoid sugar, but i definitely NEVER consume sugar substitutes (except completely natural ones, like plain stevia) because i believe them to be very bad for your system and your health. so that's the draw for me, here. "sugar-free" on a product generally means it contains some kind of artificial sweetener (usually toxic, imo). this is the only actual candy i've ever seen, that has neither. they're not the tastiest hard candies i've ever rolled around in my mouth, but they're definitely good-tasting enough to keep buying again, in the future.

These are so good. Tastes really sweet for a healthy option for my sweet tooth!

The flavor is nice, sweet and fruity, but not overpowering like a Jolly Rancher, and no nasty aftertaste. So far I have had no unpleasant side effects from eating them, although I only have two or three a day. They are expensive when compared to other candies, even other sugar free candies, but the combination of knowing that I'm not loading up on sugar and that they still quell the cravings for something sweet makes the cost acceptable to me. I'm completely satisfied.

Really excellent sugar free candy. The flavors are so good, not artificial but very natural tasting. Great for dry mouth - I have Sjogren's disease and they really help

ORIGINAL COMMENTS: At $25+ per bag that is 25 cents each. They may be designed by dentist and that is good, but although IDK production costs that seems to be a overinflated price to maximize profit. I dont like price but even with that they seem to help. Amazon should make their own variety and sell cheaper to help customers save $. I disagree that taste is bad or limited, it is true they arent as strong taste as typical sugar candies, but overall they taste fine. I like that they are individually wrapped. They do seem to not last as long in my mouth as I would prefer thus they get used up to soon and you need another one sooner UPDATED COMMENTS: warning this product has erythritol which is linked to strokes and clots. Ive searched and cant find a Dr Johns product so far that doesnt have erythritol. If this product indeed was made by a former dentist, why wouldnt the company be concerned by the erythritol on their product. Because of this I will not risk buying again. I tried calling their customer service number but no one ever answers. If they have a product that contains risky ingredient and there is no customer service, I dont think it is a company I want to purchase from as the message appears to be they are more concerned about their profit than their customers

These candies are nice when you want a sweet treat but do not want sugar. I have ordered them several times and they never dissapoint. You would never know these are sugar free unless someone told you. The flavors are very distinct. i would highly recommend this product.

Not the greatest but certainly not the worst sugar free candy I’ve tried. Leaves a weird aftertaste and not the typical “artificial sweetener” taste either. It’s weird. Can’t describe it. Just not my fave.
