It was the easiest thing ever! Especially given that the screwdriver and star headed screwdriver comes with it! Easy to slide into place and it fits perfectly, screw everything back in and the battery made my computer work like brand new! It charged to 100% in about 45 minutes, which was awesome! Also it has better quality packaging and ease than anything I've purchased elsewhere. I was so annoyed with paying over the wall prices for Best Buy, that barley work half the time! Definitely will be purchasing again for other laptops I own!!!!

Battery worked great for about 6 weeks. Then all the sudden it just stopped working all together. I tried reinstalling it and checked for all the software updates. It's definitely the battery because the old battery still works, it just won't hold a charge for long. Don't waste your money.

I received my replacement battery in a timely manner taking advantage of my Prime Shipping. Packaging was generic, but very well protected.Thankfully, I had done my research ahead of ordering. Otherwise, I wouldn't have known that DELL installed two different sized batteries when manufacturing my specific G5 model. *I strongly recommend removing your laptop cover prior to placing an order and determining which battery you have!I only hit one snag during installation (which was NOT the new battery's fault). I put the new one in, reconnected the cable, and screwed the cover back on. Hit the power button and got nothing...I didn't do my research well enough.Took everything back apart, did a hard reset by holding the power button down for 30 seconds...put everything back together...it worked like a charm!The battery was charged at about 50% out of the box, so I plugged it in and left it until it reached 100%My maiden voyage with the new battery seemed a little "short" on life. But, that may have been due to the number of programs I had running. Since then, I have had much better luck. I have gotten close to a full day's use out of one charge while working on office suite documents, while surfing the Internet, and exchanging emails.I am quite pleased with this product thus far. It has given me confidence again to carry around my laptop without feeling the need to lug that "boat anchor" of a power brick alongside!Now, it is just of matter of seeing if it remains trustworthy for a month? Hopefully, a year? Or maybe even two?

First battery I purchased the solder points that connect the battery to the cable came undone after a week of use. I sent that one back and am using the second one now, and with this one after doing the advised 5%-95% cycles the battery health is already at 95% instead of 100%. I know this is a Chinese knock off battery and I bought it because I didn't want to spend the nuts amount that dell asks for but come on we can do better than this!
