Enter The Matrix - PlayStation 2

I bought it because I love the movies and wanted to play the game. I bought it for me but it's proven fun for my nephew it enjoy as well. There's enough action to keep my nephews (aged 4 -9) enthralled with it. The violence isn't an issue because it's fairly softcore so it makes it acceptable for my youngest nephew to play without me needing to worry and it's easy enough for him to have fun on it unlike a lot of other games that say they're good for children but end up being way to hard for even me to figure out. Cartoony whacky antics aren't enough for my nephew to stay interested in. He wants to feel like he's one of the big boys and this game was a perfect solution. Now that leaves me minus one game because i know he's going to be playing it for ages lol.

Product was delayed a bit due to systems crashing as my product shipped. Otherwise would’ve been on time. Also the game was in great working condition. My husband is truly tickled to be playing a childhood game again

If you coudn't tell by the title, this game is compacted with at least 3 bugs in each level. The bugs could vary from missing textures, all the way to sounds looping in and out incorrectly. However, this game brings back many childhood memories for me, and after watching 'The Matrix' series again, I found this game very entertaining, even when I was bombarded with many, many bugs. I'd only recommend it if your a fan of 'The Matrix', otherwise this game is probably going to be a pass for most gamers.

Let me start by saying that I did not purchase this game, but I rented it for five days. In that span of time, playing maybe one to two hours a day, I finished every nook and cranny of the game. There are several elements that are both very intriguing and utterly laughable. To understand what I mean, let's break down the various aspects. Graphics: While the Full Motion Video (FMV) is quite pretty, the rest of the game suffers from flicker and choppiness. There's nothing more annoying then trying to block a punch and having chop move the character animation faster than your fingers. While the world of the Matrix is recreated very nicely, there are places in the game that appear flat and lifeless. Still, the look is pretty well done, so 8/10. Sound: The music, the sounds, the voices. All are recreated quite well from the movie, which is lends authenticity. However, in certain areas, like escaping the Post Office, the sound of crackling fire can become annoying after a while. But, since the sounds are so faithful: 9/10. Controls: I have a little gripe here. While most of the controls are intuitive, there are moments where several enemies surround you and the default controls mean your fingers have to bend in almost yoga-like positions to stay alive. 6/10. Overall: This game has great replay value as you get (almost) different stories with the two characters. Lonely fanboys will enjoy the girl on girl kiss during Niobe's section (think about the film with Persephone and you'll understand), and some diehard fans will be upset at how the game truly mirrors the film's plot (rescuing the Keymaker...twice?) Still the preview of the third film at the end of the game is better than the one after the film. While the game has a good script and some fun moments, it does suffer from its control scheme and choppiness. I would call it a solid renter.

I use to love this when I was a kid. It was one of the first games I bought on XBOX and it was definitely one of the few games that got me hooked on gaming. I bought this a few weeks ago from my local pawn shop but it was glitchy as all hell because some dirt bag put in hack codes and destroyed it's functionality.The PS2 graphics are a little blocky but it's nothing that wasn't expected.

Fun to play. Great insight for some of the movie's characters untold back stories. Is dificult.

I bought this game for my son because he loves the movie The Matrix and he loves the game just as much. He says its a lot of fun and its challenging enough to keep you engaged but not impossibly difficult.

LOVE THE MATRIX MOVIES AND GAMES THEY WERE GREAT AND FUN TO PLAY AND HAS A WHOLE NOTHER STORY MODE THAT TIES INTO THE MATRIX MOVIES THAT U DONT SEE IN IT.......PUTS A NICE TWIST ON IT AND THE BEST MATRIX IS THE PATH OF NEO GET IT IF U GET THIS GAME ASWOME TO PLAY TOGETHER GREAT BUY AND GREAT DISC AS WELL

I'm not a good person to review this... this is nostalgia speaking. It's better than Path of Neo. You can cheat and fight the agent indefinitely, until you figure out how to kill him, or knock him off a building.

One of the greatest hit games back when I was a kid, would have been better playing Neo and Trinity but still awesome, parcel arrived before then expected. 5/5
