The Time Machine Mass Market Paperback – January 1, 1984

I struggled to read this book so I only made it less than a chapter in. I wish that a modern version with modern writing were made that would make it easier for me to understand, follow, and enjoy. I still give it a full 5 stars because I love The Time Machine movie with Guy Pearce, so thanks to the author for making that movie possible. It's not the author's fault that I struggled to read his book from 1895. Plus, I have a low IQ lol, which makes it harder for me to read.

I've read a lot of science fiction and never read this classic and I was missing out. Remarkable how much was fit into such a short read. The metaphors are on point and not too in your face and it asks amazing questions. Give it a read and then talk about it with ChatGPT to truly digest and form your own conclusions. I wonder do you like the time traveler identify with the Eloi despite your obvious morlock tendencies?

It's a tough read, but fairly quick. It's an interesting take on what may have been a future.

I got this book for downtime at work and it's a great read. The book itself although paperback, is sturdy and easy to hold.

It came quickly and in good condition

Big fan of sci-fi being a scientist myself. This book is not what I expected. At first I was disappointed but the author quickly turns the writing around in the second half. First half of the book is boring for me. No real dialogue it is mostly narrative perspective. Second half is very interesting and author does a good job of climaxing the story. The ending is perfectly tied up and leaves you thinking. Everything you want in a sci-fi novel. I would rate this book 3.9 out of 5.0

Great book great movie.

Wonderful book.It is a story that will really make you think about where mankind is or could be headed.It may be science fiction but he was way ahead of his time.
