CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: The Complete Series

Everything falls into place as one would wish in this last episode of this well travelled (not geographically) but emotionally long running series. Well publicized return of all the original cast including the favourite Grissom. From a personal point of view, I would have liked to see Nick return for this finale to also meet up with the old pals. The usual range of the strengths each member of the cast brings to the series sublimated by those others who have returned for the finale. I would not have missed this for the world it gave me closure to a series I have watched over and over and will miss greatly.

A real finale - these actors were given the chance to really finish CSI off together, and they did it successfully! Grissom returns, so does Catherine. This is good TV, and a very suitable ending after 15 seasons. A single double length episode that brings back old cast members, old adversaries and is also augmented by really good 'nostalgic' special features. If you have watched the 15 seasons, it isn't complete without this. This is NOT included in the season 15 box set.

As this was probably the last ever CSI Vegas, it was a well made and memorable film. Good to see practically all the CSI teams together for this last episode. Hopefully it will be revived at a later date now that Marg Hellgenberger (Catherine) seems set to take over the lead role as the boss of the CSI crew.

CSI the finale - as we say farewell to this much loved show, cast and crew.Delivered quick, only a couple of days.I added this to finish my collection of probably one, if not the best crime drama show that ever donned our tv screens, gracing us with "who dunnits" and mediocre speedy science - this show single handedly got people into forensics and criminology. Way to go CSI!!This disc is a basically a tie in, tie up the show in a nice little neat package, a feature length episode, there is one member missing (sad face).This episode itself wasn't as gritty, meaty or indulging as their other episodes, like I say its more for the ending of riding out into the sunset, hand in hand.I won't ruin it like others do, bloomin spoilers people, like that time people ruined titanic for me, by telling me it hits an iceberg and sinks... like for real whhyyyyy! :)This is a great watch, with a nice and fitting way to send the show off. I certainly don't begrudge the finale having a whole disc to itself !!!

The episode is great for the long time fans as it's full of nostalgia. Seems silly to have the finale on its own but at least they don't charge for a full series

Great end to a great show. Most of the old team back for one last time. Original and best CSI series.

I could not not buy this after watching every single episode over the years. The DVD is exactly as per any other DVD, poor ending but you cant blame anyone but the producer, director and writers,

like they ran out of ideas and just wrote something quick to finish "us" off ...nothing as inventive as earlier episodes in order to hold our attention and lacking in a twist in solving the clues leading to an exciting climatic ending ....feel let down .

Amazon has corrected the problem in the copies they sell and ship.As for the 2-hr finale special of CBS' crime drama CSI (in my opinion, the show that influenced the greater part of American television 2000 onward, for better or worse): Immortality Part I & 2 was a bittersweet farewell to the series I have watched for exactly half my lifespan. ***MILD SPOILERS AHEAD*** Grissom, Catherine and Capt. Brass return (how could you properly end this 15-year show without them?) to help solve a final case involving Lady Heather (see episodes 208, 315, 615, 723, 905 and 1119), but I am disappointed that George Eads (Nick Stokes, one of the only characters to stay with the show the entire 15-season run) wasn't part of it. But Catherine's daughter Lindsey returns in a surprise way and Grissom is able to pass on some further forensic crime solving wisdom to yet another generation. It was an odd mix of the 'Old CSI' with Gil Grissom & Catherine Willows, and the 'New CSI' with DB Russell & Morgan Brody, but characters from both regimes (Sara Sidle, Greg Sanders, Doc Robbins and "Super Dave" Phillips) helped to bring them together in a story that was fulfilling for me as a fan. A solid finish even if I never cared for the whole Grissom-Sara-Lady Heather off-and-on love triangle. In any event, if you claim to be a CSI fan of any calibre, you owe it to yourself to see the finale, even if you end up just feeling that twinge of regret over the passing of CSI... All good things must come to an end.
