Way better than composite and works with light gun games
Very sharp picture going from Sony PS2 fat to Sony WEGA tv. Much less fuzziness on S-video than composite-only cable. This cable does include a composite option, so if you have a composite-only tv, you can use this cable as well. It also works great for light gun games like Time Crisis. Use a splitter to connect the yellow RCA cable to the light gun, plug in the USB, and use the S-video to connect to the TV input, and then you'll get much better quality and no video noise from the split signal.

Worked for Playing PS1 Games on a PS2 Console!
I was having problems playing PS1 games with my PS2 console. My Insignia television was giving me an error message. After some research, I found that using the YPbPr component cable allows the console to send a variety of pixel resolutions to my television. My television can't handle 240p input, thus the error message when using PS1 games (PS1 games default to that resolution, while PS2 games use a higher resolution). I discovered that there is only one resolution (480p?) that S-Video sends/receives, so I assumed this cable would "upconvert" the output of my PS2 to that setting, and my television would play my PS1 games. It does the job, and the image looks good on my television. Also, it's a decent quality cable.

S Video Power!
S Video is the best I can do on my CRT from 1992, so I got this for my PS1. Quality is great and the picture quality is event better. Makes my retro gaming experience the best it possibly can be.

Decent to get by
They work well and transmit good audio. I do not like that there is some light visual distortion on the screen, but you kinda get over it after a while. If you are picky though, I wouldn’t recommend these.

Tomee S-Video Cable for the Win!
The media could not be loaded. I took a $6 dollars and some change risk to upgrade from composite to S-Video and the results speak for themselves!! Insane clean graphics for a PS1 title. Sound appears to be fixed because I don't think my cables are reversed what so ever. (This video is a PS2 playing THPS 2 -PS1 title) (Also I'm using my upscaler retrotink2x mini on a LED screen Samsung 8 series. I'm freaking happy as hell. Give this cable a shot! I'm sure CRT TVs look great but if you want to play on a modern TV this is the way to go! Good job Tomee!!

Doesn't work
Hubby and I tried every which way for 2 hours and it wouldn't work. The one we were replacing works it's just striped down to wire which scares me as mom. And it worked yet this one still didn't. We ended up getting a cheap hdmi cord and it works even better and has a better picture

Surprisingly good for the price
Usually I expect cheap cables like this to suck and I was only gonna use this for testing, but this is a pretty good option and I haven't noticed any weird picture issues or the common checkerboarding issue that plagues cheap unshielded s-video cables. In terms of durability, I will update the review if it breaks, but so far its fine. It also fits okay into the port which is a plus since I occasionally switch these cables out.
