Good function, low quality
When the opener works, it works well and is quiet. Within six months, one motor arm broke. After paying for return shipping, the arm was replaced under warranty. Now one year after installation, the control board malfunctioned and has to be replaced. Warranty will cover replacement, but it will take at least three months to ship. For the price, this is very poor quality. When it breaks down after warranty coverage expires, I will change for a different brand.

No Replacement Parts & Horrible Warrenty
I had the gate installed for less than 6 weeks. The gate is used on my summer home hence, the gate has been used less than 20 times. Most of those times were testing the opening and closing process. The operator stopped working and was making a spinning noise hence I opened the plastic cover to look into the issue. The operator arm uses plastic sprockets in the inside. The teeth on the sprocket broke off. (Mighty Mule does not sell replacement parts and I was told I had to buy a whole new setup.) One would think that the warranty would cover the defective units. Or at least sell the replacement parts. To my horror, I was told my warranty is void since I opened the operator arm. If there was a "warranty void if opened" sticker on the operator arm, I would not have opened it. The gate opener is operating two County Line 8ft Utility Gate. Gates weight 34lbs each and can be moved with my fingers. Now I have to buy another brand unit. The holes are drilled in my gate already so I don't really have a choice in picking another gate opener manufacturer. This product is advertised for DYI installs. Put a "warranty void if opened" sticker on parts you don't want the customer to open instead of finding ways to duck out of provideing replacements for shotty hardware.

Works excellent so far, should have went with this from the start.
I've only had this gate opener installed for a few weeks now, so I'm slightly hesitant to give it 5 stars based on my previous experience with my other brand gate opener. However, as of now, it's been nothing but excellent. If anything changes, I'll update my review. I had a different brand gate opener installed that past year (zumi) and it worked well for about 1 week, than gave me nothing but trouble (one or both actuators wouldn't move, it was a complete piece of garbage). I looked around for something that would possibly work with my old brackets so I wouldn't have to re-drill into my concrete block wall. My gates consist of two sections, 6' per gate with a thin steel frame, wooden slats, and some decorative metal bars/windows and handles. They are pretty lightweight, so this system can easily handle them. Adjusting the open/close location was much easier on this than the last gate as well so that's a plus. It seems to have room for many expanded options (sensors, keypads etc.), but I really am only concerned with the remote and possible Wi-Fi settings due to having a small front yard and not needing all the extra options. I utilized the same brackets from my previous gate install, but otherwise had everything else wired up and installed with Mighty Mule's equipment. The far side actuator wiring is plenty long enough to reach the control panel, but the close side actuator's wiring is relatively short. This wouldn't be a problem if you mount the panel close to the gate like most installations show, but I have mine mounted inside a small archway that has an access door next to my gate about 6' further from the gates. I just cut the additional length of my far side actuator wiring, soldered it on the end of the near side actuator wiring end, and connected to the control panel with the perfect amount of wire length left on both actuators. The operation of the gate is very smooth and responsive. I've had zero issues opening or closing this gate. This installation is hooked up with the supplied battery, then plugged into an AC outlet with the AC to DC plug provided in the kit. I had a gate lock installed with my last gate https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08736KRFF?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1 and it hooked up perfectly fine to this control board and works flawlessly. I've yet to try the wireless adapter I purchase alongside this gate, but the remote that came with this kit has worked well enough for me for now. One thing that is extremely nit-picky that I'm not too fond of is that the remote has 3 buttons. It seems like a standard garage door opener that is a little bigger than it needs to be, and having three buttons for a gate opener that only needs one slightly bothers me (since two buttons will always be useless). Maybe there are some people that would program these other buttons to other gates, or they might be able to programmed to the garage door, but I'd rather have a single button opener that takes up less real estate on my trucks visor. Obviously, this is a very minor concern and who knows, if it works with my garage door maybe I'd come to like it.

Good pricing. Units working fine.
Straight forward replacement install here. Upgraded electronics compatible with older units and solar panels. Bit of a struggle pairing to smart phones, customer service snarky concerning online purchase. (we've bought 3 units direct over the years for multiple gates). Smart phone problems eventually resolved successfully after phone guy finished sulking.

Great for the price
Considering the entire system costs less than liftmaster wants for one opening arm, it is an amazing value. Once installed correctly it seems to work pretty well. I have no complaints about the speed of opening or closing the gates. The limit can only be set for the closed position where the LM can have open and closed limits set. This means that if you install the bracket on the gate slightly too far forward or back you have to cut it off and fabricate your own or buy a complete set of brackets for a pretty high price. That is my major complaint so far. My other complaint is the box the controller and battery sit in. I guess they were trying to get it in as small a footprint as possible but I am not a fan. The battery sits in a box that mounts to a wall. The controllers box screws (metal screws into plastic) onto the top of the battery's box. I'm guessing you can only access the battery compartment a few times before the plastic strips out. Thankfully the battery should last a couple years at least. I've only had it fully installed for a couple days and will update if I have any problems.

Gate opener
Bought this when my old one died. Had to have man install and program it with lock. Works great most of time. Have trouble at times opening and closing with cars so use call box or button I put in to close it. That's the only problem.

Don't Buy Mighty Mule
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON MIGHTY MULE!! I originally installed a mighty mule double gate opener at my farm in 2015. it lasted 14 months before it began to malfunction. After many, many visits from an electrical engineer to fix it, I replaced the system in 2019 with another Mighty Mule product. It began to malfunction after 18 months. Again, after many repairs by an electrical engineer, in completely died in August 2023. In September 2023, I bought another Mighty Mule opener system (MM572W 70 series Dual automatic opener) on Amazon and it completely failed in June 2024. the engineer concluded the board went bad, The support at Mighty Mule has been rude, condescending and of no help. They refused to honor their warranty with this last purchase. If you buy their products, expect poor quality and poor and rude technical support interactions.

Some improvement, some unimprovement over older model
I replaced an older model (7-wire arm) with this newer MM572W wifi unit (4-wire arm). First some GOOD about the "new" unit: 1) Has wifi "gate open/closed/paused" status. Really wonderful feature (finally)! I can tell if the gate state without looking. Unfortunately, it requires a hub/bridge within wifi (although their server has been down a few days now). 2) Only uses 4 wires (vs 7) to control arms (smaller cable, cleaner wire landings). 3) Both WiFi and keyfob radios use standard RF connectors so you can now (with optional RF cables) locate the antennas for better range/coverage (higher and away from concrete/metal pillars/walls). Now some BAD about the new unit: 1) New unit primary arm has 6' cable (old 7-wire primary arm had 9' cable). So get ready to splice some of that 44' secondary arm cable onto the primary arm. Most driveways are less than 20' wide, so why the secondary cable is 38' longer than the primary cable is puzzling. 2) The "soft" open/close is gone on the new model, so now the gate stops with a reverberating bounce. I really liked the soft open/close. 3) The battery is now stacked in an enclosed cavity BEHIND the control panel/wiring panel. To change the battery, remove the cover (4 screws), then remove 8 screws and let the control panel/wiring hang down while replacing the battery. Old design just had a single cover exposed everything (but was wider/taller because everything was laid-out instead of stacked). 4) The "auto-close" feature remains unprogrammable. It should be configurable by time/day over wifi (ex: stay open days, auto-close nights). Hopefully the wifi experience will improve over time. This is my 3rd (2 replacements) residential MightyMule in 20 years. They work, but they take some patience.

Poor quality product
Used this for a dual 8 foot swinging gates, Weighting 100lbs each and gate openers will not function with any slight winds at all. Was very disappointed with this product.Does not work good at all when temperatures are -5c says that will work-15 not a chance if I could return this for a refund but didn’t get them installed until after refund window in time. I definitely do not recommend this product at all.

This is my second Mighty Mule.
My first lasted at least five years. This one is an improvement in terms of speed and precision. It was not quite the straight swap I had hoped but it worked in the end.

Replacement Unit
Easy to install as a replacement for a 15 year old Mighty Mule unit. Works well. Would prefer if the time to open and close was a bit faster but definitely better than the old unit. Great support every time I've called in.

Good quality, powerful opener
I've fitted three of these now and am completely satisfied. The oldest has been running without a problem for 6 years now. They are strong and of good quality. Installation instructions are excellent - no Google translate nonsense there! I've worked on other brands and I'm sure this is the best.
