Good substitute for my prescription glasses
I use these all the time when doing house projects to save my much more expensive prescription glasses. Lenses are clear and magnification close to prescription. Much better to drop these on the floor or wherever vs my good glasses. Clarity/resolution is good but not perfect, but these cost less than1/10 what prescription ones do.

Stylish and reasonable quality for the price
These glasses get a lot of varying opinions. I’ll try to provide some clarity (no pun intended).First, remember these are $25 glasses with progressive lenses, which normally cost many times what single focus or lined bifocal lenses cost. Are they perfect? Not quite, but would you rather pay $175 or more just for progressive lenses - plus cost of the frame? These are great for trying out progressive lenses for the first time, or to have a pair of no-line glasses you can use for close work and watching TV without taking glasses on and off.The lenses are not perfectly clear. See photo. They have a slight greyish purple tinge; this is probably for filtering blue light. This is MUCH better than yellow tinted blue light filtering glasses that make you look like you have jaundice. Some have noted the lenses reflect light on the inside surface of the lens. This is true and may also be related to the blue light filtering aspect. Personally I might not have noticed it if I hadn’t read about it, and it doesn’t really bother me. I can see how it MIGHT if there is lighting behind you that’s in a position to be reflected. Similarly, the lenses do slightly distort some lights in your field of vision including some “halo” effects.Size: some complain that they’re “too small.” The lens width is 48mm - a very common size for this shape. I prefer this size because I don’t want glasses that are huge or they overwhelm my face. There is plenty of lens to see out of.Frame quality - I’ve only had mine a short time but it seems reasonably well made. The bows “snap” shut when folded which I like.I got the green color which I really like. I’ll live with them a bit longer and may also get them in the brown color. There aren’t many good choices for good looking progressive lens glasses that are cheap. It’s easy to get spoiled by all the extremely cheap SINGLE vision reading glasses. $25 is NOT a lot for truly good looking glasses that are adequate for meeting most close up and distance vision needs. Beats paying optician prices for a first-time or extra pair, or a pair you can afford to lose.

Good, solid glasses. Cases is too small.
I like these a lot. They don't feel like they're going to fall apart any time soon. One thing, though--don't buy them counting on the case, because it doesn't really fit the glasses.

I have owned 8 pairs of these glasses. I love them till they all break in the same way
I really like these glasses. They are light weight and the lens work well. Now here's the "but" They all break on the bottom part of the frame around the lenses after about 6-8 months of normal use. The frame just breaks and the lens fall out. Has happened to 7 of my 8 pairs. I don't have this issue with the brown framed version of these. Nice while they last, don't last long enough for the cost.

DO NOT BUY!!
These are horrible!! I bought these readers because I love the style and matted teal color. The design, and lenses are great. What I did not like is that the broke sitting on my dash in the car within a week. I should have returned them (they need to withstand heat to some degree…Ohio, early May), but they don’t. I decided to fix them with contact cement, and that put it back together, only for them to crack again in almost the same location!! See pic at the nose area. Once again, I fixed the glasses. Last week, I put them on again (I’ve rarely worn them…maybe a dozen time since owning them), and I’ll be dipped in tar, the damned things now broke on the left outer side. I’ve done nothing to them to warrant them breaking so easily. The plastic in these frames are so delicate that I don’t see how they can hold up over time.I feel I deserve my $35 back. I’m not one of those that returns everything they buy, or complain about it, but these Foster Grant reader take the cake. You’d think for the premium of $35 for readers, when you can get some for less than $10, that Foster Grant would have used much better plastics than what these are made from.So be aware, these will likely crack on you too. Not worth $5, let alone $35!

Foster Grant Multifocal Reading Glasses
Despite the bad reviews, I took a chance and I was quite impressed with these low-cost lenses. I normally wear contacts, but for reading in the eve, (without contacts), these are perfect. In comparison to the numerous cheap reading glasses (especially the blue light ones), these are definitely clearer and a far better quality lens. The multifocal feature makes them more versatile than normal reading glasses — for use on the computer and distance also. In addition, the 49mm width is great for me, because I use the smaller width. No slipping with these. And, the brown, round style is slightly retro with a larger lens for a classical, stylish look. Like all glasses, these should be carefully cared for since the rims and ear stems are more delicate and held by small screws. Worth the investment!

Great Progressive
Very happy with the 2.0 version. I had another pair that cost twice as much that were not as clear at Foster Grants. My computer monitor is 3 feet in front of me. I need a 1.0 to see the monitor but need 2.0 to read documents in front of me. This multifocus/progressive works perfectly so that I don't have to take on/off two different pairs of glasses. They are lightweight and comfortable.
