Dixie EMS Colored Disposable Penlight with Pupil Gauge- 6 Colors!

5 star.I love that this comes with a variety of colors. Its like a number one lost item in the EMS field. No matter how well I look after them, they always seem to disappear. Now I have plenty, these should get my threw a year. The colors are bright, the pupil gauge chart is clear, and operation is easy. I was a new nursing student when I got these. Upon receiving the pack of six, two of the lights did not work right off the back. I considered returning them but money was tight and these were cheap. I have now completed two years of nursing school and this black light is the only one I have left. I will say though that this pack got me through two years of nursing school successfully but I would recommend investing in better quality to start your nursing job. I also noticed that it is a lot dimmer now then when I first got it and it is probably on it's last leg. Still worth it for the use of nursing school.

I bought these for nursing school because I had already lost two. The original came with my set but the second one I bought at the bookstore for $4... That was for 1 just as crappy as the original. After losing that one I decided to get these as they were only a few extra dollars for 5 more. All of them worked out of the package just fine and I like how they are different colors (so other people can't steal them) and that they have the pupil gauge. So far none have stopped working but I haven't used them enough to be sure on their length of use.I rated 5 stars because really these things are cheap, and most pen lights for pupils are the same; the difference is that the price actually matches the quality. you have to expect that they wont last long. Really if 4/5 in the package work you are getting a deal. I had friends that bought one from the bookstore and it didn't work or stopped working within a week and they paid atleast 4x as much for theirs.

These are not bad little pen lights. They're not amazing and great, but they're not bad. For the price, they feel like a good deal.About whether or not they work--yes. When I initially checked 5 out of 6 worked. But since I was planning them as gifts to 5 people, not a big deal, particularly since I'd been warned by others' reviews. However, by the time I actually gave them to others, somehow, all 6 had started working. Not sure what that means--still not a sign of a great product if they SEEM to not all work, but some of the 'duds' maybe aren't complete failures.Seems like as long as you're buying a package of multiple penlights, you'll get at least some that work (right away, if not longer term).

The media could not be loaded.  I bought these for nursing school. Luckily I had 1 of the 6 that worked on me during my first day of clinicals or I would have been in trouble with my instructor. I was going to share the others with my classmates, but guess what? THEY DON'T WORK! Now I need to go buy another just incase the ones I have stop working on me on any given day.🤷🏽‍♀️

I read reviews that said some people received their penlights and some of them didn't work. I checked all 6 of mine when they were delivered and they all worked. I have used one until it no longer worked and my husband has also used one until it no longer worked. We used them multiple times a day 5-6 days a week and they lasted for approximately 3 months. We are both on our second penlight and not having any problems. I like that the light casings come in bright colors so I can easily distinguish it from the other things in my scrub pocket, and he likes that they come in less bright colors so they blend in more with his uniform. I would order these again.

Good- cheap- good present for undergraduate nursing studentsBad- one of my eight pen lights was faulty and didn’t work- as a SICU/CVICU RN and FNP student I would not want one of these for practice. The light is more yellow than white so it makes it harder to tell slight differences for pupil assessments. I would much rather spend a few dollars more to get a higher quality more white light pen light for my q1 hour neuro assessments.Overall opinion, decent present for undergraduate students but if you are a practicing RN or do frequent neuro assessments I suggest a different product.

Three of them don't work at all, and one works so poorly that it's basically useless. I'd like to contact the seller to find out about possible replacements, but there's no link to do that. I was planning to use them in my classroom, so I don't need medical grade tools, but these don't even work for first graders. I don't recommend these. Maybe for a party favor, but buy extra because they probably won't all work.
