Read this before purchasing.
Over all I like this heater. The heat is very subtle but pleasant, I can't comment on effiency as I have only used for a couple weeks. I will add to this if anything changes, tonight will be our first freeze. But here are some things to consider before buying.Pros: Most have already been stated by seller, Quiet, fast, won't burn you, I found it easy to make standing blocks out of 2x4's so I could move it around, especially closer to my metal desk which gets stupid cold in winter. Which brings me to the cons.Cons: The distance this heater projects is a few feet. The square foot ratings are complete garbage, they must be using a well insulated strawbale home or something equivalent. I'm using mine in a 144sqft room with vaulted ceilings, With a minisplit (awesome ac, heating sux, gets worse as temp drops) and so far coldest day has been 35 F degrees, and yes it is comfortabe (with thermal underwear, many layers). I found t helpful to move heater closer to me.It is my opinion that this heater works, but is way over priced. I paid 129, I see they have gone up. I would only buy another if they were like half the price they are now. The materials in this unit probably cost less than 10 dollars to make. I suspect when warehouses pile up with these because they don't heat like americans are used to, that the price will come down. Also, I have not used any other infared heaters to compare, I'm glad I didn't shell out big bucks on another brand.

Heats up
We have a bonus room above our garage that gets too cold in our subzero winters. We use this room as a playroom so we needed something safer than a floor space heater. We we received the unit the white plastic piece on the front was already bowed a bit but it was too terrible so I hung it and plugged it in. Well the unit heats up quick and warmed the entire room after about 24 hours of being on (the room is about 700 sq ft). Unfortunately the heat made the bowing worse since whatever cheap adhesive strips they used come unattached after being heated. I contacted the email provided by the seller and was asked to ‘use glue from any store’ to fix the issue which I wasn’t comfortable with since it is a heating element and I have NO idea what glue to even use for high heat. I tried to explain that to the seller but then was told to just ‘use more adhesive strips similar to what’s on it’. Again, what adhesive tape do you use for high heat safe application?!?! I gave up at this point. The unit gets HOT and will burn you if you touch it. Probably not as bad as say a clothing iron. This unit does NOT turn off and on according to temperature. It doesn’t have a thermostat...it has one temp and stays that way while plugged in.If you use this in a playroom...you will need cord covers and an outlet cover. Although the cord is BLACK so most people will probably want to cover that too.I have yet to figure out a good way to use this with a smart plug since I have to use a plug cover. I have to plug it in when freezing outside but then unplug it if it warms up for a day or two.

Works Best in a well-defined space
I bought this quite a while ago and it didn’t heat the original space well enough so I had to install a baseboard heater to replace it. I was disappointed. But this fall we moved the panel heater to a bedroom where the width of the room is narrower. It works like a charm. Very comfortable heat source. No noise and no blowing air to dry your skin. So the lesson here is: Use this panel in a space where the wall opposite the heater is not too far away. It will reflect heat back better and make the space cozier.

Make sure you install per instructions.
We put this in our bedroom as it sometimes gets cold, we don't have room for a small heater on the floor. This works great. Only thing is wish we would have noticed it does not have the ability to change the temp. So far has not been an issue.Would recommend this if you are looking for ambient heat source.

Really glad I got this
We wanted a space heater that was safer and more flexible. I can put this on the wall, connect it to a smart plug and have a lot more control of the heat in part of my basement.

Works Great but isn't quite enough for my office.
My office (in a decently insulated room in a basement) is about 9 x 15. It does a good job of warming it up a little to take the edge off, but if you need a lot of heat, you might try something stronger. I'm sure it would be a fire hazard to make it pump out more heat, so that's understandable. It feels GREAT to stand in front of it. It works as advertised.

Good heater. Not kid safe
For the money, this is OK. Only an on/off switch, so I control it with an Amazon smart switch. Pretty flimsy construction, non UL or other country testing labeled. Not kid safe, although if burned once they should know to leave it alone. Does what I want, but I never leave it on when away.

Great little heater.
I originally bought this heater (500 watt) to heat our small bathroon. I had to remove the steam radiator to accomodate installation of a tub. During our renovation heat became an issue. This heater has performed flawlessly with the addition of a wireless thermostat. Heats the room to the set point. I am considering mounting this permanently on the ceiling to allow for more wall space for shelves and cabinets. I noticed the replies about ceiling mount, but I will try it and update my review.
