We use this to hold down a carpet runner in our hallway. It grips tight, and keeps the runner from shifting.

Does exactly what is says. Stays in place and very easy to remove. Did not leave marks on wood or tile floors. Have not tried on LVT/VCT. Quick and simple to install as well!!

I have a runner on top of an area rug. This product does not stick well to either and basically doesn't work for my purpose. Removing the backing is also quite annoying, so you put in a bunch of work only to find out it was pointless.

I used this to attach kitchen runners to the underlying carpet pads as they were often shifting so that the pad was showing. It seems to be holding well. It’s a little difficult to pull off the roll but manageable.
