Reasonably fast, great price
I purchased the 64GB drive. It came pre-formatted in FAT32. Note that if you try to reformat this in Windows, FAT32 isn't an option (you have a choice of NTFS or exFAT) unless you use a third party utility such as FAT32Formatter to format. This is not the fastest flash drive available, but it is no slouch either. I tested it with h2testw, which reports the kind of performance you would expect from copying large files on and off the drive.Write : 67.6 MB/sRead : 131 MB/sSo figure about 15 minutes to fill up the drive completely with data, and about half of that top copy it off.The slider provides some protection, but doesn't prevent pocket lint and dust from getting into the USB connector. The slider locks to prevent the connector from retracting when plugging it in. To slide it in and out, you need to press down on it before sliding. The large size and lack of cover makes it more suitable for something left at home for backups / file transfer, Definitely not something to leave plugged in all the time as it is easy to hit it, breaking the drive or your computer's USB port.It comes with a 3 year limited warranty (limited because only hardware and not your data is covered - standard for such products) and includes EncryptStick Lite software (on the flash drive) for file encryption. It's a stand-alone application that encrypts your file, and you need to go through its File Explorer-like interface to move files in / out of the "vault". In other words, you cannot access it as another drive. If you click on a file to access it through its interface, it will first decrypt before opening it, meaning there could be a significant delay before it opens. It also cannot handle files larger than 4GB, likely due to the limitation of FAT32. You can use any other software for encryption, of course, such as TrueCrypt, VeraCrypt or even WinZIP.Overall, a solid product with a great price.

Good quality, great speed and a great price.
I bought this USB drive to put movies and tv episodes on that I could bring with me so speed was crucial. This USB three drive is great, it takes a fraction of the time it does to transfer things on a USB 2 drive (at least the USB 2 drive I was using before this) and the retractable connection point is great. If I had to find something to complain about I would say this is too long. I had it in a laptop this thing is so long that it almost broke at the connection point when I set the laptop down. It's my fault completely, I should have been more careful but just know that if you aren't careful you can definitely break the connector off simply because this is so long. Mine didn't break though (slightly bent) so I'm still happy. Will be much more careful in the future. Please note to get the full speed of this drive you need to be using a USB 3.0 drive and single files transfer quicker than thousands of files.I've had the drive for a couple months and haven't had any storage issues, all my files are still there.

Lexar 64 GB jump drive a keeper
I recently bought this jumpdrive on an Amazon deal. I was looking for a 3.0 flashdrive for my movie & video files. This Lexar jumpdrive provides high performance needed for video and is portable to carry plenty of movies right in your pocket. It may be capable of 150mb/sec max read speeds, but I'd think actual usage speeds would be much lower. I have NOT run a speed test on this drive, and have used it but a short amount of time before writing this review, but have experienced no buffering when playing my downloaded movie files with it. Unlike other "sticks" that have USB terminal protector caps (that get lost), this has a slide button to expose the USB terminals and retract & protect them when not in use. Very nice feature. I bought this drive because of Lexar's brand name and past product reliability. It includes security software to securely encrypt your files. It has a 3 year warranty and like most electronics, is manufactured in China. It seems to work well, so I'm satisfied and will update if that changes.

Lots of room to archive from a limited laptop hard drive
This is great. I have so many useless documents and files cluttering my rather limited capacity hard drive. I used a Freeware Archive Program and removed unused files to the flash drive, and the free space on my laptops hard drive is great!January 14, 2016 update:So I've had this for a while. It worked wonderfully, even on the tablet I received for Christmas. The tablet I received had a detachable keyboard and the keyboard has the full sized USB port. The keyboard fell off the couch while this flash drive was plugged in . The keyboard is fine, but this is all it took to break the flash drive. No longer works, all files lost. UGH.!!! It was good while it lasted. So much for using this as an archive tool, but it's my fault for dropping it.

Very pleased and good value for a high class product
After buying one originally I now have four for various uses. Very pleased and good value for a high class product. Also have a number of Lexar CF cards which have given no problems over several years so am expecting a similar situation from the Flash Drivess.

Cheap drive with slow writing speeds
Purchased the drive recently to use as a small backup and so far it seems to be working. Having said that, the first time I used to store some video data I noticed the speed was subpar so I ran CrystalDiskMark and my suspicions were confirmed, sequential read/writes are decent but random read/writes are kind of atrocious. Considering the price I may keep it but look elsewhere if you're looking for performance (just remember that it will come at a higher cost).

Extremely Unreliable USB Flash Drive
I only used this flash drive for about 6 weeks before it completely stopped working. I uploaded files to the drive to back-up some work-related data a couple of times a week, and always 'safely removed' it from the computers I used. I also stored it with care when not using it. After about 6 weeks, the red light that illuminates on the drive (to indicate it is connected or writing/reading data) did not turn on, and neither of my two computers could read it. I attempted using different USB ports and then tried using my colleagues' computers, to no avail. I then researched dealing with a faulty USB flash drive on Google, and tried using the ‘Device Manager’ and ‘Disk Management’ to see if the computer could detect it. This did not work either, and the Disk Management window shows that the removable drive is connected, but shows ‘No Media’ is detected, which apparently is a bad sign. If I wiggle the drive around I will get brief flashes of light, but I am not able to find a position that enables any computer at my disposal to use it.Overall, I am extremely disappointed in the lack of reliability of this flash drive. I highly recommend considering another manufacturer, especially if you intend on accessing the data you store on your drives.

Fast, but does not last.
I was initially happy with the performance of the drive, was pretty fast. However a few days ago it started giving me issues. It would suddenly stop working, and I had to force eject it and plug it in to make it work. Eventually it died on me after 9 months of use. Not really impressed with the longevity of the drives, I have drives from 3 years ago that still work. This is the third Lexar product that died on me, the other two lasting even shorter. I would recommend staying away from these drives.

Buena, Bonita y Barata
