Edeka Mini Butter Spekulatius 200g

We used to buy these BUTTER SPEKULATIUS when we lived in Berlin because they are so delicious. They are light and crispy and, honestly, they taste exactly like sweet, creamy butter, but not too sweet!! Like thin shortbread — only more buttery. These cookies are made using a Spekulatius mold but they do not have the Christmasy spices that regular Spekulatius have. Also, they do not have sliced almonds. They are simply buttery deliciousness. We can usually only find them around Christmas. Wish we could find them all year. Yes, they are a bit pricey, but worth every penny. I imagine this company has to pay for import fees and shipping from Europe and all that. We used to pay the equivalent of US$5 a pack and that was 25 years ago!! You won’t reqret ordering these. We ordered more after we all ate the first ones we ordered. Good shipping and excellent time to receive. If we could find them in years past, it would take weeks to get them from Europe and half the time, they would be crushed to dust. We don’t mind broken but dust is not good. So these guys are faster and they sent our second order PRIORITY at their expense. We were SO happy!!! Thank you.
