So i bought it for growing micro lettuce and cilantro to a full bushy plant. it worked well, however my soil got moldy, most likely due to too much moisture, however it gave me a great idea!!!This planter would be perfect for orchids, they love the humidity the water would provide from below but there is plenty of space in between them (using the right medium) and the water becuz they like their roots to be airy. i could fit 2 orchid plants in one of these planters and have it self water from the bottom.I do like these and i like the lil pop up water gauge that tells you wen the water gets low. all you do is top up the water and the lil buoy gauge raises as the water level rises.i like this so much i bought one then i bought another one.

I'm not sure how or why this works but it does! I wanter my herbs about once a week, the soil is always moist and as you can see they are thriving. The only thing that's kind of tricky are the instructions, they are very minimal so it's sort of tricky to tell if you are putting the little water indicator apparatus together correctly, but I guess I did! :) Anyhow, I'm strongly considering buying another!

Name of product has nothing to do with LED lights. Works OK, but can be a pain to set up.

I have 2 planters with Basil, Rosemary, Thyme and parsley going in my Kirchen. It's fabulous to have fresh herbs all the time, ready for dinner. Easy to plant and easy to water.

We have ours in the window sill and it does stick out just a little bit but we grow basil in it and it is THRIVING! Highly recommend.

The product was shipped in one of those polymer bags with no actual box. Outside had swirl marks and scuffs as per the attached photo. Inside was clean, but the glossy finish was so marred up that any time the light hit it, you could tell that the product was extremely cheap. Definitely not worth the money. It's going back and I'm ordering from a different source, you may want to also until the seller can rectify this issue.Note, it is NOT an issue of just dried stuff that can be cleaned off, I tried a damp towel and the marks did not leave. So if you do really want to buy this, be prepared for unsightly marks, or be aware that you'll probably have to paint over it to hide the swirls.

I have never seen a self watering pot before and decided to give it a try. I am glad that I did! If you are a novice at gardening like me don't forget to be careful with the type of soil you use. I used soil that stays moist for days and almost killed my indoor plants.
