Durable
Works beautifully in Jordan. A tad heavy but the quality of this step down is worth it. The output can handle a game console and TV st the same time.

Works with no issues
Got this converter to power an Australian coffee maker and it worked perfectly. The coffee maker has a max wattage of 1,500, but I went and got the 3,000 watts converter to be on the safe side. It is absolutely quiet.

Excellent Power Conversion for the Professional Shop
This power converter allows our professional shop to operate our German made equipment that operates on 220 V.A.C. to plug into our U.S. 110 V.A.C. line without having and electrician come in and install a conduit and the fraction of what that would have cost. This is the best choice for any shop with 220 V.A.C. equipment. We got the 5,000 Watt version that provides plenty of power for the lathe.

Me fue muy útil , un poco pesado pero pequeño para acomodarlo en cualquier lugar

Worked ok at first. But now it's like the breaker trips too easy
Worked great at first... Now I need to baby sit it and reset the breaker on it while the appliance I have on it warms up. I only power one thing with this... I might need a stronger one. Wish I could exchange this. Company contacted me about my review however after my last reply I never received a response.

Good Product but Pathetic Packing by "All Region World"
I got this product delivered today. Even though the item was marked as "Sold by All Region World via Amazon Fulfillment", the packing was pathetic. This item weighs around 10 lbs and the unit was packed in a smaller box with very little or no padding. The quality of the packing box was so bad that it was crumpled. With the result, the corners of the metallic casing of the unit were deformed. The unit might have been tossed so much by UPS that the transformer inside the unit shakes and has left an impression on the top surface of the casing. I have decided to return this unit and order it directly from the manufacturer. After the first use, I found it runs quietly, no usual transformer humming sound, doesn't heat much (I plugged in a vacuum cleaner for 5-10 minutes). I am yet to test it over an extended period. I'll update this review soon to let you know how this unit performs. I would recommend you buy this item probably directly from the manufacturers site or pick it up from a store, but not from "All Region World". I am saying this because, I feel this seller called "All Region World" also called as "Tapan Sheth" on Amazon, doesn't care about whether the unit reaches you in good shape or condition. Overall I'll give this product a 4 stars for now (May change it once I test the replacement unit). I am not sure about the assembly part of it. Either the poor packing disturbed the transformer fitting inside or it came out of factory that way. I hope the former is true. PROS: 1. Compact unit 2. No transformer humming noise 3. Doesn't heat much CONS: 1. Factory packing box is not strong enough to secure the 10 lbs unit. Make sure you order with a supplier that packs it well. 2. You don't really know the exact output voltage you are getting out. Everybody does not carry voltmeters. A small digital display on the face showing output voltage would be nice. UPDATE: 5/18/2010 Ordered this item from the manufacturer site ($5 less than Amazon with free shipping). 5/20/2010 The negative feedback that I left for "All Region World" on Amazon disappeared after a day. I didn't know you can do that on Amazon. 5/20/2010 Received the unit today from the manufacturer. It was securely packed and not damaged. If you are ordering it,do it at: [...]

I work in both SE Asia and Canada, and often take electrical devices either way. Some 120V devices work fine on 240V, but none of my 240V devices work well on 120V. A step-up transformer is the answer, at least for most of my devices I bring from Asia to Canada, taking 120V and outputting 240V. this LiteFuze converter/transformer does the trick for me at both ends of the journey. Plugged in to Canadian sockets, it can generate 2000W of available 240V supply, and the same reversed. It is simple to use: plug in, turn on, and use the front outlet to access the transformer supply. The device weights 5kg, so not light, but also not impossible to carry around. I now leave one in Asia and have one here in Canada. While not intended to power some devices like heat guns or microwave ovens, I have used it perfectly well with some audio equipment (streaming servers, DACs, and integrated amps for example), as well as with finicky computer electronic devices that don't like voltage differences. Circuit breakers on the unit protect both the transformer as well as the plugged-in devices, and the unit runs remarkably cool (my last step-up transformer generated both heat and noise; this one does not). While I can't speak to the success you would have with all equipment through the transformer, for my electronic (and computer) and audio devices, it has worked flawlessly. It's now part of my plug-in process as I move back and forth across the ocean, and it is reasonably priced, too.

I've been running my 220v coffee machine through this converter for a couple of weeks now. So far it's been perfect.
