Screw Set for Universal Laptops and Hard Disk M.2 SSD, M2 M3 M2.5, 355 pieces

Thank you Valentin for the warning in your review. Look twice before opening the box to avoid playing a new game called 355 screw pick-up! The motherboard I have bought to build a new desktop computer with came with screws to secure the M2 heatsinks with, but nothing for the NVMe SSD underneath. Now I know that it can't come loose but my OCD says if there is a place for a securing screw, there should be a securing screw! I have an old laptop that needs stripping down and rebuilding and I found out that the guy that replaced the motherboard under warranty some years ago missed a few screws out when I had to replace the hard drive..... so this kit is a bit of overkill for my immediate needs in terms of quantities, but then if I ever need more I have them in abundance, and they will also secure rack ears to 19" units (BONUS!!!!) Good range of the most useful sizes. Screws are good. Clean threads. Do the job. This is what I bought it for, so what I am giving it my rating for. TOP TIP: THE SCREWDRIVER PROVIDED. Nice gesture, but such low quality it meets the expectations of a pound shop box of Christmas crackers. Perhaps keeping it in the glove box of the car because sooner or later someone's glasses will need an emergency screw tightening and you will be the hero of the hour, but it is not going anywhere near my computer.

Complete set for most gadgets

I did like this set when received. Nicely boxed, in an outer cardboard container that can be used to store them if wished. They have included a warning on the lid top to ensure that you open it with the top side uppermost. Due to the lid NOT being hinged, it pulls right off, it could be disastrous if opened wrongly..! As it is, it can be very easy for the screws to spill or mix with each other. So when open be very careful. It has been useful that they now include some M2 screws that are 5mm heads, as well as 3mm. They can be useful for SSD's that are held within enclosures. The range of screw sizes are good and the overall quality of them is great. All cut well and their heads are well formed. A cheap screwdriver, still useful, is included. As is a set of tweezers, again useful. I have only dropped a star with this review due to the lid that completely removes, rather than hinged. A good quality made set. Recommended I hope this is helpful.

This is compact kit of screws even comes with small screwdriver and tweezers to pickout small screws. Would recommend this.

I often get lumbered by friends and family for laptop repairs, refurbishment and upgrades. As such, a good supply of small screws is essential - I don't know where so many screws disappear to - however careful I am! This relatively inexpensive kit looked about right with a good selection of screws and - and indeed, it's just the ticket. You also get a mini flat and cross head screwdriver (reversible) and a pair of suitably small tweezers. The box is neatly separated into compartments to prevent the nightmare of the screws getting mixed up! The screws seem to be excellent quality and similar to the originals they are replacing. So, no complaints - indeed, I am most chuffed!

There are plenty of screws, not one fitted my older Samsung laptop, many too skinny and most short. Make sure of what you're buying.

Has screws for HDDs for SSDs for M.2s and they are okay. All lengths, widths and head shapes. You will find what you need here. No idea what other people are complaining about, these are just screws in a computer, you can't go wrong with them in practical terms.

The screws arrived on time and appear to be well made but after using a magnifying glass to risk assess the method used to hold the lid shut, I was just thinking that there's no way that anyone could possibly open the lid in their bare hands without the contents flying all over the place, then it popped off and yes, the screws flew all over the place! My suggestion; Buy an Evolution magnetic floor sweeper or hand wand and unless you're a robot with exceptional motor control, before attempting to open the lid, stick the tray down to a bench or board with double sided foam/servo tape or maybe Velcro so that it can't lift, (very), suddenly, then grip the lid, (if you even can), and very carefully prize it off, holding down the tray as soon as you can get a grip on that. Alternatively, stick the box to a magnetic chuck such as those found on a Jones & Shipman 640 grinding machine to hold the screws down and carefully insert a sharp knife blade into the non-existent gap between the lid and tray then twist or pry, levering the top off gently, starting at one end. Nah, not going to happen. Have fun sorting the screws out again with the included tweezers! I'm nearly done with the big ones and now only have about 250 to go.....

Ein sehr umfangreiches Set, das man als IT-Affiner eigentlich immer im Haus haben sollte, wenn man regelmäßig an PCs oder Laptops schraubt. Umfang: Es ist viel dabei – von M2 über M3 bis hin zu speziellen SSD-Schrauben. Natürlich braucht man im Alltag oft nur einen Bruchteil des Inhalts, aber es deckt fast alle Eventualitäten ab. Preis-Leistung: Das Set ist günstig. Man zahlt hier für die gesamte Box oft genauso viel wie für ein winziges Tütchen mit nur zwei oder drei "passenden" Schrauben im Fachhandel. Qualität: Die Schrauben sind ordentlich gefertigt und das Gewinde passt. Für Standard-IT-Arbeiten (HDD, SSD, Gehäuse) ist die Qualität absolut ausreichend. Geht besser, aber nicht besser und günstiger. Fazit: Man hat lieber zu viele Schrauben als zu wenige. Da das Set preislich kaum ins Gewicht fällt, ist es eine super Ergänzung für die Werkzeugkiste.
