Great idea
These work great. Really helps to keep things from sliding around. Sturdy and solid. The only thing they could change is to make it fit smaller poles.

Thumb screws not long enough.
Can only use on half of my bed divider. Was a recommend product for the bed divider I purchased ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CJCGN7BB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ). However, the thumb screws are not long enough. Thus, the telescopic side of the bed divider that comes out I can not put the hitchmate on because screws not long enough. Very disappointed with this. In addition, the one picture on their listing says it is 18 inches long. WRONG. They are only 14 inches long. Have to read the find print description. I should return these.

Doesn't work as designed.
The nuts welded to the bracket to hold the screws to anchor the stabilizer to the crossbar were defective. I was not able to get the screw to thread in one of the nuts in each stabilizer. When they were welded at the factory they were damaged. One screw was a capable of holding it to the bar so I did not send them back. It would be nice to be able to use both though.

Poor Weld Quality and Design
Nut not welded good. Product slips up and down on rod and scratches the paint off the rod. Does not function well for its purpose.

Fits onto Peerless CC5010 Smart Bar
I took a gamble that these Heininger Hitch Mate Bars would fit another manufacturer's cargo bars. There were numerous complaints about the thumbscrews on the Hitch Mate Bars not being long enough to reach and grab other mfr's round pipe-type cargo bars, so I was a little nervous. The happy result is that the Hitch Mate Bars fit perfectly onto the Peerless Smart Bars CC5010, which are square in shape. Actually, the CC5010's are 1 1/2" square bars and the Heininger Hitch Mate Bars have a 1 1/2" square fitting as well. They fit perfectly!

Raw thumb screws onto powder coated cargo stabilizer - shoddy
Bought a nice cargo bar from Hitchmate and a paid these divider bars. Someone who has a welder and a can of spray paint could make these in about 30 minutes - includes paint drying. I know it's a cargo bar, and they get banged up - that's what they're for - but was still surprised these just have two thumbscrews that drive the raw bolt against the powder coat finish of the cargo bar. It would be nice if it had a surface to distribute the force and not scrape off the powder coat so the cargo bar can start rusting there. For the price, they could have at least included rubber bumpers on them or something. Pretty much a margin builder for their product line.

Bolts to short don’t do the job
The bolts are to short and do not hold the clamps firmly for any cargo bars sold here on Amazon. They are also to heavy and made of steel instead of aluminum and flop down even after I purchase see new bolts to hold them in place. Good concept, poorly manufactured.
