Excellent, heavy duty crate for a large dog
Excellent, heavy duty crate for a large dog. I purchased for my greyhound. It may be a bit large for him, but he was a rescue and had been mistreated and neglected- left in a crate too small for him.He loves this crate, he has a soft orthopedic bed and often goes in to sleep with door open on his own. Crate is also large enough for him to eat his meals in there, so he trusts that good things happen here. Crate is definitely large enough for a Great Dane. I like that it has three doors so no matter which way I turn it, a door is accessible. Tray covers the entire bottom so dog does not feel wires on bottom of cage. This was a great training tool when I first got this greyhound. I rarely put him in now with the door closed, but if necessary it gives him ample room to stand, stretch, turn around, lie diagonally without coming in contact with the cage. Also has plenty of room for dog dish and water bowl without getting food or water on his bed. Would probably be great for a Rottweiler or German Shepherd or any other very large dog.

Dog cage for a Great Dane
The cage is large enough to hold my daughters Great Dane (1 yr old) dog. The dog weighs 150 lbs and can lay down lengthwise without being cramped or coiled up in a ball. The cage was able to withstand numerous attempts of escape. I like the side and top door access features. The shipping box was a little banged up when it arrived from UPS, but no damage to the cage inside. I had to help the UPS driver unload and carry the shipping box up to the house. If you transport the cage in a van, SUV or truck, you will need to have at least two (2) people to carry it. It is too heavy and awkward to handle by just one person. Had the cage for 2-1/2 months now and "so far so good". I would recommend this cage for very large dog breeds. Delivery was on time. I would buy another one.

Huge!
I actually needed a size between this monster and the next smallest. Sure wish some manufacturer would make one an intermediate size. Not everyone has the space to place this size crate, but if you choose it be prepared to have help bringing it into the house. It is very heavy and the only part that comes out is the tray; and you will have to be crafty in folding the sides just right in order to extract the tray! This is a monster crate and it comes with a carrying handle! I cannot imagine anyone being able to carry it that way.Once set up the top door (how many people actually need a top door?) tends to sink down slightly from the weight. I secured all the sides and top portions with plastic grommets because there was gaping that I was afraid my newly-adopted dog might paw at.Another negative is that the top latch of the three on the front door is very difficult to slide closed. I have to squeeze the top of the door upward to .The wire is not as sturdy as the Kong crates. Luckily my dog accepts being crated; but if you have one who paws or pushes to escape, I'm not sure how this crate would hold up.Still if you have a large breed dog, your choices for a crate are very limited. I searched and found only one other manufacturer. So with few to choose from, I made the best choice. (A friend bought a smaller Kong crate with the end and side doors that swing up and store on top of the crate. HEAVEN!! Unfortunately, this feature is not available in this sized crate and Kong doesn't even make this large a crate.)All in all, I am satisfied with the crate. I feel it is a good item for the money.

Like it alot despite problems
Three years ago, I bought two of these crates and bumped them up against each other for my two Mastiffs. There aren't many crates made for Mastiffs that weigh near 200 pounds. My boys love their crates, as do I. The crates have held their frame even though one of my boys is quite rowdy when he sees the neighbor's cat.Problems I've had to deal with:I had to secure each frame with multiple tie straps. The tray liner got worn and got rusted.Rust is also evident in the bottom rows of the walls. The wire used to secure the floor board / tray is too flexible - I had to saw it out since it would stab them as they entered or exited the crate.

Great kennel for my mastiff.
We had been keeping my 9 month old mastiff in the bedroom and he started getting bad seperation anxiety. He nearly tore the bedroom door down one day while I was gone. We borrowed a kennel from my uncle that had been used for an American Bulldog but my mastiff just didn't have enough room to stand comfortably. I bought this kennel as it was the cheapest I could find (about $190 shipped). The kennel is HUGE and my mastiff has plenty of room to stand and turn comfortably. He will have plenty of room as he continues to grow. Another plus with this kennel is the black tray was included. Other brands required you to purchase the pan seperate. Shipping was fast. I give the product and the seller a 5 star rating.

Just what I was looking for.
I bought this cage for my Great Dane puppy. I purchased it when he was a baby because this kennel comes with a divider so I could give him as much room as he needed as he grew. Setup was easy and there was no trouble with that part. The kennel had a few scrapes and dents but that was from shipping. The kennel was wrapped when it arrived and the issues did not hinder the use of the product. Just like the measurements say this kennel is huge. Therefore moving it and setting it up can be awkward. My puppy has been using this kennel for four months now and he hasn't busted out yet," and he is big enough and wrestles enough in it that I expected it to happen". If there is any part of the kennel that you feel is not sturdy then you can simply place a zip tie there, just for your comfort of mind but the kennel is sturdy.

the bottom latch has a line up problem but if you always open or shut that one first the others will open fine. It is very good
I have had this for 6 months now. Yes, you need to add zip strips on the corners. Yes, the bottom latch has a line up problem but if you always open or shut that one first the others will open fine. It is very good for the size it has to be to please my pet. It comes with the tray on the bottom, all the others you have to pay extra for it. Not recommended for real aggressive dogs but then owner and pet need some training for obedience. This is a very good product for my large Bull Mastiff Rottweiler mix.
