Great Switch
Used this to replace the ignition on a 2004 Mercury 90hp . The instructions were clear as to which wire colors went to each terminal. Good quality hardware as well.

Great replacement Key Switch
Installed it on a 1996 Mercury Force 90hp 2 stroke, worked great and fired up and the second turn of the key. Matched the old switch perfectly and all wires plugged in fine. Hopefully it lasts.

Working fine. Here's the wiring diagram.
Easy to install. Works smoothly. Used to replace a bad ignition seitch on our 1986 bomber scout bass boat with a 55HP Johnson. Mine came with wiring diagram which I have included for those who may still receive a unit without a diagram. I agree with one reviewer who said that two of the screws are uncomfortably close to touching after installation. I have also included a photo for reference. This can easily be rectified by cutting down one of the screws but I didn't find it necessary. You can see the two screws in the center area of the assembly in the photo.

Defective
Easy to install, Durability is no so good. Fit is OK, performance would be great I'd it had not had a Crack already in it when I received it. But, I called Customer Service and they quickly sent me a replacement. I would buy from seller again.

The very best i found
Solid , key turns very well ,brass nut that wont strip like the junk plastic. Works very well!!

High quality
This replaced the ignition switch on my 1990 evinrude v4 90. Be sure to know where your existing wires are on your old switch and where they go on this. The wire color and letter stamp on old switch will mostly match up to this switch. Do one wire at a time to help keep them straight. Mine was slightly different, but the wiring guide included helped. Good quality, nice hardware included, fits like OEM!

Standard Ignition switch seems to made well. Only in the boat for a short time. Installed easily and works well. Matched wiring colours perfectly. Good value for the dollar compare to other sites.

Has 6 leads but 7 letters describing each lead. Have spent 3 hours on guess and check and still can't get it setup properly. The diagram on the back of the package doesn't match the actual part.
