Problem solved- practically perfect case!
I had been spending countless minutes over the past month trying to improve my index card file box since I don't have a PC, only an iPad from 2011. The iPad is very helpful but has come up short in various tasks. So I wanted to sort my index card file setup into a few separate containers. Like I said, I spent much time and bought a few boxes but nded up returning them because they were deficient in various ways. So when I scanned the products on Amazon, I liked the description of this one, SKU -AVT40307 Super Stacker Storage Box, clear, removable lid. One thing I like also is that they stack because they are constructed so that the tops and and bottoms are made to nest. This will make it possible for me to have all 5 boxes (from the 2 orders) stacked in the corner of my office desk with a label on each identifying the category. I have only one very small negative suggestion: The next redesign should give the vertical dimension a very scant 3/8 inch or 1/2 inch higher dimension to allow that the maximum capacity of cards PLUS the divider cards fit better. But overall, it's a real bargain at just under $5.00 each and should last for years. It came directly from BIC in Broolyn NY via Priority Mail 2-day. I was surprised that they were shipped in a plastic shipping bag rather than a cardboard carton with packing material to protect the contents, but the boxes are definitely in good condition. Now on to the next 60 products I've ordered.

Great container for cards for perfect organization
Size is perfect for 3 x 5 menu cards in my wife's collection. Now she wants a couple more!

Perfect for what I needed
Terrific. Sold as said. I thought it would be bigger but that’s on me. Look into sizes folks. It’s sturdy and works well.

Nice reinforced corners
Nice storage for index cards. More sturdy than a single walled box. Nice lid with snap on closure. For people who are wondering, the 300 pack of Amazon's own index card fits perfectly in the box with no room to spare (see picture).

Very durable with a secure lid
This is definitely great quality if you're looking for something very durable, I'm expecting this to last quite some time with regular use. I specifically picked this item because of the type of lid since the flip top types almost always eventually wont stay clipped/closed after average use. Only disappointment for me was that correct size tabbed index cards are too tall so the tabs are smooshed when clipped closed.... but still worth it.

Good one
It is the perfect-sized container that I have been looking for index cards, and it fits in.

Some bad design decisions, but otherwise OK
The case looks fantastic at first blush, and it has a lot going for it, but there are some flaws which may or may not bother you (obviously they bother me). The box is strong. It's made of a hard plastic which doesn't bend or slip. The box stacks beautifully! If you like stacking things, this box will give you the shivers! It's a good-looking box. The fancy criss-cross striping on the corners is aesthetically pleasing, helps to give the box a ridiculous amount of structural integrity, and makes it easy for you to grab and hold. Now what don't I like about this box? The clear plastic, while good looking now, won't be so good-looking a few months from now. If you use the box, it will unavoidably gather crumbs and dust. It's like why you don't buy a white car. Or why doctors wear white coats (white shows off blood and biological feh -- you can more easily detect a dirty doctor wearing white than some other color). The crud WILL collect at the bottom, and the clear plastic will show it off. The criss-cross pattern, while pretty and giving the box structural integrity, will collect dust 3 months down the road. They are small, tight little corners which will be impossible to clean. The plastic is hard enough... in the end, it's better to just have a smooth corner that won't collect dust. A year down the road, and it'll be quite ugly. It would've been nicer if the top snapped onto the box instead of just sitting on it. If you turn the box upside down, the top and all the box's contents will fall out with the greatest of ease. Even a weakly snapping top would've been appreciated to guard against accidental knocking over. While we're at it, having the top attached to the box via a hinge would've been great. I have a plastic index card holder that has a hinged top. It's made of PBC, and 7 years down the road, the hinge isn't even *close* to breaking. But most importantly to me, the box isn't quite high enough. If you want to use "section dividers", the tabs will definitely prevent you from putting the top on fully if your cards are standing up straight. I'd say if the cards make an angle of more than 15 degrees from the vertical, your tabs will poke out far enough to interfere with the top going on the box. Fatal flaws? Maybe. The height thing really bugs me. I'm going to search a little while for a better box. If I can't find one I like better I'll keep this one. If I do find one, I'll return this one. In other words, the problems are bad enough to make me look for an alternative index box, but not bad enough to make me return this product if I can't find something I like better.

Sturdy Little Box
Perfect size for 52 envelope challenges! Lid snaps on and off easily and the plastic material feels sturdy. Color is a true clear as well.

Me gustaron mucho, primero compré 2 para probarlas, cuando me llegaron volví a encargar otras dos. El material es de calidad y ligero, el tamaño es perfecto para lo que las usé (almacenar frascos de glitter y decoración variada).

The perfect size for standard cue cards, it's simple and compact. I have been using it for a few months now and wouldn't change a thing!
