Works great for small spaces.
I installed this in our hallway linen closet- a 24" bifold door. The instructions were a little vague when it came to mounting the arm, but I googled it and got it installed easily. I love that I now have full access to the door and don't have to worry about those terrible sliding tracks anymore. Please note that the "hinges" stick out into the room about 1-1/2". So we see the brown plastic part of the hinge, but it's a tradeoff I'm willing to make.Opening the doors is different now. The first door (strike side) swings out and fold back over the second door (hinge side). At first, you almost feel like the door is falling off if you're used to the track installtions. But once you get used to it, it works very smoothly. We will be ordering more for the rest of our bifold doors.

Excellent full opener, but most of the hardware is unnecessary and the directions are terrible
I'd like to be able to purchase just the top part of the door opener. Also, colors other than brown would be nice. The hinges and other hardware are cheap and ugly. I'd recommend just using your own hinges, since any standard hinges will work for the side of the door and most bifold doors already come with the center hinges. That being said, I love the full opening feature of the main hardware. Be aware that you will need a stopping point for the end of the door for this to work. I had double bifold doors and had to make a block to insert in the middle of the doors to mount the rubber door stoppers on.

Amazing!
This worked amazing to put a bifold where a single interior door was (small bathroom). It folds right out of the way but enables us to keep a full bathroom door!

Hoped for better
These work ok and do what they are designed to do for a reasonable price but i wish they were heavier duty. Once u have done one the install goes pretty fast but the directions are a bit unclear. I installed them with a carpenter friend and the first one took two hours while the second one took a hour. These where replacements of older bi fold hardware. I might use them again, but for two other sets of doors in my house I will most likely try Johnson's heavier duty normal bifold hardware.

Not perfect, but very good.
Fantastic solution for an awkwardly placed door. This allows us to fully open the door for easier access in a very tight spot. There is one issue with the installation (go to Johnson's website for instructions, easy to find) - they require a certain space between the door jamb and the door trim, which I didn't have, of course. So I needed to grind a bit of plastic from the hinges that hold the door to the jamb (the red plastic part in the product pictures). Which brings me to the other issue with this product: WHY THE HECK RED? Who uses red hinges? Those are the only parts that you see, and they are red... Johnson sells white replacement hinges which are not that expensive, but there's nothing a bit of white spray won't do.Also, if you follow the instructions you will end up with the top of the door at 1/8" from the top jamb, and if you have other folding doors (with regular folding systems) in the room they will awkward. To mitigate this issue you need to install the hinges on the jambs lower than instructed (if you need let's say 3/4" space on top, then place the hinges 5/8" lower than the 7" and 1/8" instructed, so at 7" and 3/4").I will still give them a 5 star rating since this helped us with solving a nagging issue.

Amazon only sells the mid size panel package
I bought 2 sets for 2 sets of bifold doors with 21 inch panels for a shed I'm building. The hinges support the pretty heavy sets of panels I built so I am happy with that and they allow full access into the shed through my 2 door spaces in a narrow space between the doors and the property line fence. But I misread the information on the panel size on both Amazon and the manufacturer's website and bought the 12-18 inch panel size package sold by Amazon but I needed the 18-24 in size as my panels are 21" each so the control arms in the packages I bought are to short. also Amazon refers to the width being 24-36" which doesn't correspond to how the manufacturer writes it's specs. I researched the manufacturer website and Amazon before buying but still gotconfused andwrong. My loss because I am well past the return date to purchase new complete packages. Now I need to buy 2 -18 to 24 inch control arms from the manufacturer for more than I paid for the 2 complete sets of parts from Amazon. So please measure your panels and buy the correct package. Fyi Amazon only offers the middle size package adding to the confusion. You will need to buy the larger package or smaller package directly from Johnson, the manufacturer.

I had fun these hinges
I had fun these hinges. They worked great for the TV Cabinet I Built. 40 " x 52" x 9'. By having the doors fold upon opening, I was able to fold each (2) 24 inch wide doors into 2- 12 inch doors when wide open. The depth of the cabinet was a slim 9 inches and I am still about to adjust the angle of the TV. The extension guides also helps the doors to stay true without sagging. I would and will be purchasing this product again.

Awful instructions
Terrible instructions. Once I got them up the doors pop open. Also, whhhyyyyyy orange hinges?? I am going to replace them with regular hinges so they don't look so bad. Maybe then the doors won't pop open? We shall see but this has been a bad experience.
