These are the best of the 4 types of KZ IEM I own. SUPER value!
I will keep this simple. I own a pair of $300 Westones and wanted an extra backup pair of cheaper IEMs and our church's in-house, full-time audio/FOH engineer told me to look into KZ. He pointed me at the cheapest set KZ makes yet I was blown away at the value. Fantastic for backups. So I started buying the more expensive versions. I ended up in the $70 range with the KZ ZS10. Very good, slightly uncomfortable but incredible value. Yesterday I tried the KZ-AS12. I play bass and electric guitar but mostly bass so low end is critical. The KZ-AS12s have a solid and un-hyped bass with excellent harmonics. The difference between the KZ ZS-10 and the KZ-AS 12 is massive! The ZS-10s are good, the AS-12s are amazing! They supply clarity, spatial openness and accurate representation of what is happening on stage. Incredible. And as far as comfort goes? I could wear these all day. They fit like a glove and stay snug and secure. I will close by saying I worked my way through college as a recording engineer and a touring monitor engineer back in the days of stage wedges. I learned how critical monitors were and how they positively or negatively affect the show. If the musicians and singers can't hear what is happening on stage, they can't perform. Get the monitor right, the energy is transferred from stage to audience or from stage to congregation. The AS-12s do an amazing job!

Simply Incredible for the money
I've owned IEMs for years. I was a DJ back when people actually ran radio stations (I'm talking late 90s, In college), a sound engineer, recording engineer, and I've been a serious audiophile since I first laid ears on a Carver Silver 9t screaming through some Snell Bs in the early 90s....These. Things. Are. Incredible.I'm running them though a Bryston BHA-1 on my main system, a Woo/AE-9 on my PC, and a Sony 507 when I'm on the move. They legitimately tear apart everything up to the Sony Z1Rs. They're comfier than the Z1Rs, too. And, honestly, add in the drone of a jet engine, my furnace running, my dog walking around, a breeze, anything, and I think that $1,500 delta feels better in my pocket than the exceptionally slight difference in sound quality. Plus, if you're on said plane, and accidentally drop/leave them, it's not the end of the world.Really. If you're in the market for anything less than $1k, buy these first. Take the rest of the money, and do anything else with it. There is very little to no color (perhaps a very slight mid-bass bloom, very, very slight), they're detailed, crisp, clear and really well built. The cord is the weakest part, and honestly, it's still nicer than what comes with UEs (Pre-logitech, like everything else Logi touches, they killed UEs.)Buy them. You won't regret it.

Bass heavy, high detail
BA headphones in general are sold on high detail sound and this set is no exception. Because there isnt any DD in these, the bass & trebel has a hard cut off. The sound isn't balanced great either. A bit too much bass. I still really like the sound, just know these may not be the best fit for you depending on your taste.

Clarity!
I just received it and put them on to run down my listening list, the first thing you'll notice is the CLARITY! My regular to-go IEM is a pair of Shure 215 pro. One word for describing Shure 215 pro is warmth, this is another reason that I wanted to get my hands on some IEMs with more clarity, and KZ-AS12 does exactly this. Great sound stage, deep and punchy bass, even with only 30 mins of listening time, I can say this is a great pair of IEMs for Hi-Fi listening. I'm not saying Shure 215 pro is bad, but it depends on which type of music you are listening to. I wanted to have options to choose from when listening to different types of music, and having 2 pairs of IEMs meets my needs. The setup I have is regular PC(Mac&Windows) as sound source, with Fosi DAC-X6 -> Fosi Tube-P1 preamp -> Fosi Tube-P2 amp . They sound great to me, at this point.

Fan of the Armatures!
I had a pair of KZs with the dynamic diaphragm in them. These all armature IEs have a better, richer sound than my other ones.I use these for touring, leading worship, and practice. They are comfortable and a little smaller than the dynamic diaphragm pair I had before, which is a positive thing.I will be buying another pair of these to have a backup. Really like the EQ on these - not too bass-y, not to tweak-y, just right. The cable seems to be an upgrade from past default KZ cords. The covering on them is more "silicone" based, and is much smoother rather than the traditional "scratchy" ones.I highly recommend these!

Best Sound quality even over more expensive ones
I've bought literally dozens of earbuds over the years and this has the best sound, the highs are nice, crisp and clear, the bass was a little weak till I added the bass app and now...beautiful music, really. I went on a mountain bike/trail ride and they stayed in my ears the whole 12 miles without coming out. worth the money.

From my perspective they sound GREAT!
I like almost everything about them. As said already they sound GREAT! Mostly I use them on the IEM system (Behringer Ultranet) at church where I play bass guitar. My amp is turned only to use the 'direct out' to feed the house system. What I hear via these IEMs is all I need. I play a 6 string bass and use it on the upper end all the way down to the low B and they cover the whole range very well. The rest of the band sound great too, from keyboard, synth and drums. The only thing I don't really care for is the twisted wire cable as it tends to tangle quite easily. IT IS NOT a deal breaker by any stretch though. Small aggravation compared to the clarity of the devices in my ears.

AS12
I’m not a professional musician, I play keys and bass on a Worship team. I never knew how bad my previous set was until I bought these AS12’s. To me, the tone and sounds are incredible. A bit big as being flush with the outside of your ear but they’re light and comfortable using tips I chose from the box. Excellent value for the money!
