NOMU Unsweetened Cocoa Drink 2.2lb Bulk Bag [66 servings] Sugar Free Instant Hot Chocolate Powder Mix

I bought NOMU Unsweetened Cocoa Drink because I am on a Keto diet and was looking for a flavoring powder for my coffee that had no sweeteners. I don't like my coffee to taste sweet at all whether or not I'm on a diet but I do like a hint of chocolate flavor in my coffee. This NOMU Unsweetened Cocoa Drink tastes great in my coffee. I deducted one star for "blending power" because it tends to settle out fairly quickly, but it blends way way better than the normal baking cocoa powder and it tastes better. I have a feeling that anything with actual Cocoa in it would settle out eventually, so I think NOMU did an excellent job with this mix. I haven't actually tried making hot chocolate with this, but I bet it would taste great.

I've been looking for an unsweetened cocoa mix for a very long time! Nearly all of the cocoa mixes on the market are sweetened with the most unhealthy ingredients such as Sugar, hydrogenated corn syrup, Maltodextrin, Sucralose, Aspartame, and/or Acesulfame potassium.This is why I was so happy to find NOMU Unsweetened Cocoa Drink. Another huge plus is that it does not contain any soy protein or soybean oil, and has only 60 mg of sodium per serving. Perfect!After mixing the powder with water and a natural sweetener, it tastes so delicious that I don’t even add milk. Needless to say, I highly recommend this product!

Makes the best iced mochas! Is it artisanal & single origin? No. Does it have a complex, nuanced flavor profile? No. But it's great for everyday applications, incredibly creamy, has a rich, chocolatey flavor and is a great value for an amount that'll last a long time. Stir it into near boiling liquid to make sure it dissolves well - if your water, milk, etc is too cool it can stay a bit lumpy.

The pictures on Amazon advertise this product as being 60 calories per serving, but when it arrived the nutrition label says it is 240 calories per serving. That’s a big difference. I would not have bought it if I had known. And of course, you can’t return it. Bummed.

Initial review below. Updated review: Bought unsweetened cocoa to avoid the sugar and calories. 240 calories per 15 g is Wayyyyyyyyyy more than the 150 for 35g in regular hot cocoa mix!!!! What the heck?? I know it's my fault for not checking but who would have thought? Turns out it's all full cream powdered milk......The Taste is absolutely perfect. This is just what I've been looking for. All the pre-made stuff is way too sweet and too many calories. I prefer the ability to add my own monk fruit sweetener or other. This is perfect, not too sweet or bitter. I think I added a tiny bit of liquid monk fruit sweetener to it and it was perfect. Also blended with some plain collagen peptide powder for a nice morning collagen peptides boost with a hint of cocoa and not very sweet. Perfect!

I was looking for an unsweetened cocoa which I can prepare with water only. I'm happy I finally found that one.It's risky because you have to buy it in bulk to try, but I'm happy with my choice and will buy it again. Other than different brands this one dissoly quick and the taste is amazing.

This unsweetened cocoa drink definitely tastes different from the ones that are made by multinational companies and which are laden with sugar. And, this cocoa drink tastes different in a good way, allowing the drinker to enjoy the cocoa and core ingredients flavor and not that of sugar. Personally, I bought this drink with the goal of consuming less added sugar in my drink. This drink fits the bill well, although it still got calories, but not from added sugar. I still enjoythis drink and I will be trying to stir in less drink powder to control calorie intake from this drink. I like this cocoa drink overall and I recommended. Though, the resealable bag of this drink is hard to reseal and reseal reliably. Once I opened the bag, I transferred some of the powder to an easy open/lift lid container, while I transferred therest of the bag content to another lid with a screw-on lid for longer term storage.Update: Bought it for a second time as product proved to be superior to similar mass-made products.

Nomu seems to have stopped doing the 2.2lb bag of skinny coco, so I tried this as a replacement. It is simply just not as good, not even close. Sad, because I would be a "lifer" on the skinny coco if it was still in the 2.2lb bag. Its just not the same value, not to mention environmentally sound now that you have to get a 3-pack of tins to get it. Greed sucks, and this coco is not good and definately no replacement for the Skinny Coco..
