Nice flashlight
Good flashlight, worth the buy.. the only thing I'd suggest to do differently is, don't put the batters in the flashlight before you ship it, if you do make sure the flashlight is off before packing.. my light was on when I opened the box and the batteries are basically dead now

Not bad for the money.
I just got this today. Here are my thoughts. The light was on with worn batteries on arrival. Replaced the batteries and I personally think the brightness is fine. It is supposed to temporally blind the intruder not burn the eyes out of their sockets. Mounting was fairly easy. Some people said it loosens up when practicing. I am a shotgunner. I have numerous shotguns. Some for hunting some for sporting (sporting clays, trap, skeet) with that said the Mossberg Maverick has one purpose. IMO. It is a home defense gun. You should familiar yourself with the gun. Practice? Point and shoot at the bad guy. I see no other reason for this gun. So, it becoming loose should not be a problem for me. For the money it is worth it.

Not Durable
during practice shooting at the range of 30 rounds, or slessl, the clear lense fell out. Light is useless with out it. Suggest removing the light from it's mount prior to practice shooting.

Works as intended
Easy installation, (once I watched a youtube video) though I don't believe it's 1000 lumens. I have a Maglite that blinds me at 600, this one feels like it's a bit of a stretch to say 1000.Though it's still pretty bright.

Mounting bracket is pretty decent the flashlights pretty poor quality and will be replacing it with something different

Worth It for the Mount, Swap the Light
The light that comes with this is pretty disappointing—it just doesn’t deliver. But the mounting system is absolutely fantastic. Solid, secure, fits well, and easy to install on my Maverick. Adds a rail system you knew you needed.If you’re willing to swap out the included light for a better one, this setup becomes an amazing buy. Great mount, just not the bundled flashlight.4 stars for the mount, wish I could take only one half off for the light.
