ZYRTEC® comes in a variety of forms for adults and children. Review: Pricier than some others but effective for my severe allergies. - I have always had severe allergies to dust and certain other things but suddenly, my eyes were blowing up like water balloons for no known reason. It happened three times in two weeks, once resulting in a trip to the ER because my eye was swollen shut and I had no idea what was going on. It was an allergic reaction to "something". My eye doctor said I needed to take an antihistamine daily. The problem with that is they usually make me very drowsy and also they tend to dry out my eyes and cause irritation. He suggested Zyrtec over Clariton or Benadryl. He said for me to get the name brand even though it is pricier than generics. I compared the price per pill at several online pharmacies and here and this 70 tablet bottle was the best I value I could find so I got it. Zyrtec doesn't make me feel drowsy! With Benadryl, I am out in 20 minutes. But Zyrtec also isn't as "instant" as Benadryl. This is more of a daily preventative allergy pill. I have been taking one a day now for a few weeks and my allergies are much better. I haven't had another bout of crazy swollen eye but they sometimes still itch and water a bit now and then. There is no swelling or redness though. The eye doctor says so far, my eyes are maintaining their moisture but prescribed a saline drop to be sure. I guess these will be my new allergy meds. I generally take medication only as needed but these will be taken daily at least for a while. I may see, after a few months, if I can go without them and not have such intense reactions as I had been having. The pills are small scored white ones that are very easy to swallow. They don't interfere with many other medications but it is best to ask your doctor if they are safe for you. I can't take decongestants so I am hoping these get me through both allergies and colds. They seem to be doing their job. They're worth the higher cost if they relieve my allergies. Review: Best OTC medicine for indoor/allergies - Any allergy med that can slow down or stop your symptoms for 24 hours is phenomenal! I took a pill as soon as I received my order and as the time passed, I could tell the difference, like pronto! I've used Zyrtec before, maybe 5 or 6 years ago, then started using a prescribed med which no longer seems to satisfy my needs. Back to Zyrtec and I am so happy I did. The sneezing, runny nose and congested cough have subsided immensely! Maybe this is a new and improved version. At any rate, I like it and I'm satisfied...the cost was quite reasonable for 90 pills, too. Kudos to Zyrtec and desertcart!!

Works better than generic
I am tired of cheap generics that barely work be it OTC or Prescription. The main ingredient in these is made in Switzerland; the generic-who knows where? It worked where I was getting little to no relief from generics. Read Katherine Eban's book Bottle of Lies. She also has another book on drug contamination between manufacturer and pharmacies, hospitals, etc. Both available on Amazon. Fact enwrapped in the genuine backstory reads like novels. I downrated it one star for the outrageous price.
