Q: Can someone please measure the length for me when folded and when extended. I’m trying to figure out the longest I can buy that will fit in my case.

Mine measures 43" from the SMA connector to the tip. It is a little over 22" folded in half. You can fold it down further but I would recommend this for RX only. The antenna is most effective fully extended to TX. Be careful not to strike the base of the antenna as there are electrical components that will break and seriously compromise the antenna's performance. Once you get your radio seated in your backpack/carry bag you can fold this antenna as much as you like. It is a high gain antenna that allows you to fold it down over and over. It will snap back to the original length. I would also look at the Nagoya NA-771 15.6" whip.

Q: I ordered 2 of these 13in antennas and neither works on all 3 of my baofeng radios. 1 bff8 and 2 uv5r mk5s. Am i missing something here?.

The only thing I can think of is that you may have received an SMA-Male. Look at the center of the threaded part of the Abbree. It should have a small hole. If it has a pin sticking out, it is the wrong antenna for the radios you listed. The antenna attaches very easily to my UV-5R.

Q: It’s this compatible with the regular UV-9R?

not sure but every bofen i have , it works with it and man what a difference night and day is the same with as a tape messier
