This is a small, easy to take capsule that you take with a meal twice a day. Curcumin (the active compund in Turmeric) has been shown to be such a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory I felt like I was doing myself a disservice by not taking it, so I ordered these. The capsule goes down easily without any aftertaste. I like that this product includes 5mg of BioPerene, which is extracted from the black pepper fruit and has been shown to help improve the absorption of nutrients like curcumin. The only reason I can't give this product five stars is that the label does not reflect the standardization level of curcuminoids (1000mg at 95% standardization would be excellent, at 50%, more would definitely be required). For me, this is important information that should absolutely be reflected on a supplement label. I purchased this product at a discount in exchange for my honest review. My first impression of this product is that it seems like a high quality supplement. The turmeric inside the capsules looks and tastes like the turmeric that I get at my local grocery store. Although I like sprinkling the spice on some of my foods, I simply can't consume enough of it to get any health benefits. Because of this I decided to try out the capsules. I'm using this as an anti-inflammatory, and although it is to soon to tell if this will work for me, I will update after I have been taking this for a few weeks to note if I see results. This is a great brand of turmeric, and I like that it is has the bioperine added, to help boost it's overall effectiveness. It has minimal other inert filler ingredients added, which is always important to us when looking for a supplement. I use it for menstrual cramps, as well as to help boost immunity and overall general health, and we give it to our dog as well, for his joint inflammation. It has many other wonderful benefits as well and it's a great supplement, useful for so many different things, that we like to keep it on hand to have around the house. After receiving the product, I read some info on the internet which indicated that Turmeric is a blood thinner. As a result, I did not use the product.

No complaints, however, I will be ordering a type with Black Pepper to enhance absorption and effectiveness from now on.
