CHKOSDA LED Large Digital Wall Clock, Oversize Wall Clock with 6” Numbers, Remote Control Count up/Countdown Timer Clock, Auto Dimmer, Big Calendar and Thermometer(Ice Blue)

Did a basketball themed room for a client’s son and this clock is bright and looks great.

I bought this for my home studio where I wanted both a countdown clock for webcasts & presentations, and also a count up / stopwatch for when I record videos & podcasts. This does both of those very well, and I like that the digits are huge and there is no frame. (e.g. it's just a black rectangle that also lights up.) That said, the instructions are pretty horrible, which is fine, but there will be some experimenting to figure out how the thing works. A few helpful hints: * In the "CD Set" mode (countdown set), the first [d1:00] display is days, with a value from something like 359 days to 0 days. But when the [d0] is flashing, that's essentially setting the hundreds value of the days, then you hit the mode button again and the right hand [:00] flash, which is setting the tens/ones of days. In other words, [d0:00] is confusing because it's broken into two steps, like if you want 150 days, you don't type [1-5-0], rather, you type [1 - mode key - 5 - 0]. The four direction arrow keys are NOT arrow keys. :) When the instructions say things like "press mode, then the up or down buttons", they don't mean the four buttons surrounding the mode button, rather, they mean the actual buttons off to the right labeled "up" and "down". So in my case, I spent a lot of time redoing things because I hit what I thought was the "up" button but was actually the alarm set button which took me into the alarm set mode. Also what is not obvious is that with the countdown timer set mode (CD SET button), the final screen of [--:00], the "--" part is just "ON" or "--", which just means it will save this countdown setting in memory, so in the future you can quickly restart the same countdown by pressing [CD SET - play]. the number portion (the right hand side) of that final screen is how many seconds (0-99) you want before the countdown timer starts flashing to alert you that it's almost done. In my case, I have a saved countdown timer of 1 hour. (If you want a 60 min timer, you have to enter it as one hour, zero minutes. It will not accept 0 hours 60 minutes.) So to use it, I just hit the "CD SET" button which takes me to the [d0:00] page, but since my timer is saved, I can then immediately hit the play/pause button and start it. So it's really a very simple two-button click, but it's pretty confusing to know that you can hit play on the first screen of the timer setting pages. Also for the countdown timer, since this clock only has 4 digits, if you have more than one hour remaining, it shows hours:minutes, but then once you're under an hour it flips to min:sec. This is fine really though it confused me at first since when I did a 90min clock I didn't see it moving (because it was showing mins not secs on the right side of the colon). Finally, I love that there are +/- buttons on the remote for the brightness, and I love that you can customize everything like whether the colon flashes and whether the speaker is enabled. Final note: no batteries are included, you need 2 AAAs for the remote and a CR 2032 for the clock. (That battery is just to save the time & settings if it's unplugged or a power failure. You don't need the battery if you keep the clock plugged in. You can even hit the power button on the remote to turn off the clock totally, but if it stayed plugged in then it will remember everything when you turn it back on.) Overall a great product, looks good, works fine once you figure out the nuances.

Works great in our warehouse for helping floor personnel know the time. Nice and bright and easy to read even from a hundred feet away! Instructions are a little hard to decipher, but the referred videos was a nice touch.

Its a nice clock, but not worth the price... I was surprised there were no batteries included especially for the remote! Even my $6 light came with a battery in the remote... Its bight and can be adjusted, I also like that it has a count down feature.

Just take a look at the picture. If this is the quality standard for components, you should expect the same for the rest. On top of it, the remote was supposed to be different. Check other people's images. I guess that this vendor started optimizing the cost. Remote is very important since you will use it frequently, and this is beyond anything I saw. The worst remote, then, by the way, arrived broken, but this is not the reason for one star. Also, attention to detail: there is a piece of plastic in the remote that is supposed to disconnect the battery, but there is no battery. You will not find this info in the product description, but only in the product info table no one checks The power adaptor and the power cord are the cheapest you can find. Avoid this product. Price is absolutely unjustified

This is a great clock for either home or work. For a work clock, the display is bright and easy to read from far away ( suitable for indoor large pool/tennis court/gym etc.). It can display the time, date/month/year, and temp in both C and F. You can also use it as a countdown time display - you can also set it up for multiple alarms if you wish. For home use it is a great clock because it can be bright or dim and display just the clock, or just the temperature or just the year. Timekeeping is very acceptable, mine is + 1.5 seconds per month period. You can also change if the colon blinks on the second or just stays solid. You can also set multiple alarms. The clock includes a remote control with many to program many of the above features and behaviours. Don't forget to purchase the CR2032 button cell battery for power failures as it is not included. Keep the instructions as you will need them in the future for however custom setup you like. Very happy with this purchase.

The dimensions and brightness are done right. I have it on a wall of windows facing east and even with the sun rise it is clear to see. They do need to redesign the remote control and the ease of program-ability. I'm a teacher so I use the countdown times multiple times a day. Pressing the countdown button and then day button then mode button, then hour button then mode button then hour button again finally to get to minutes which is what I use in class, is a giant pain in the butt. It would be better if you had seprate buttons Days, hours, Minutes. That way it would be a simple three button start...I could press minutes, enter my time, then play. The second thing that needs a second thought is the play pause button. I just feel it needs to be larger. it is microscopic. As a prominent feature of the clock I believe it should stand out more and be larger. I have large fingers and it is hard to press sometimes. They are not major issues but they do detract from the overall functionality of the clock. I've been using it every day now for a month and it has held up well.

We bought this digital clock for our office pre-covid. When we opened the box we were horrified to see the condition of the clock. 1) The front of the clock had clue residue that covered the entire front. It looks like there might have been some sort of clear cover that was peeled off. We tried to remove and clean the front of the clock but whatever gunk is on the front of the clock is not coming off. 2) If this wasn't enough, to our dismay when we looked at the back of the clock there is a sticker that says "no battery cover". Fortunately we were able to use the clock before the first covid lockdown as we simply plugged it in. It would however been nice to be able to utilize the battery option so not to show the wire going from the clock to the outlet. We've bought all types of products via Amazon and other online outlets and in all the years making online purchases, we have never been sold a product that was in such poor condition. Sometimes things happen, we understand that but its reprehensible to sell any item to a customer in the condition we experienced on our purchase. In ending on a positive: The actual clock is outstanding if you like over sized digital numbers. The numbers illuminate very brightly. Some might find it too bright but we had no issues with the brightness. The clock itself deserves a 5 star rating but the condition that it arrived to us is unacceptable and shocking. Anyone wanting a digital clock with oversized numbers then do consider this clock as its a good clock. With a bit of luck your clock will arrive to you in better shape than ours.

I LOVED the size & the LARGE, simple, uncluttered 3 number display. Everything else was frustrating due to how complicated it is to operate. Not good English in instructions or (random) online product videos. I TRIED to keep it, as it was beautiful (as I stated above). But I couldn’t figure out the functions I bought it for. A to have to keep track of how often you push a button (up to 7 times)with that kind of a remote, is impossible. Also it was very cheaply built. The remote had a STICKER (for the controls)over a panel. So not actual rubber buttons(like I saw in a video)The sticker could peel off then you’d lose all function.
