I have shoulder-length straight hair that is smooth & slippery. I get hot all the time (mid-life) & am desperate to get my hair off of my neck. My only option has been a ponytail holder or scrunchie which doesn’t look flattering or professional. THESE miracle combs allow me to put my hair up easily, quickly, & flatteringly. Nothing else has ever worked like this. Yes, the tines break off easily & I need to replace them often. But for $6 what looks like a professional updo when my other option is a scrunchy?? Hell yes. I have them in every bag.

These are FANTASTIC! I have thin, fine hair, and most combs and other hair implements are just too BIG to work in my hair - they slide right out. But these combs interlock, hold my hair, and make it look as if I have a lot MORE hair than I do. I hasten to add that I'm sure these will work on heavier hair as well - they are very sturdy. They are also very attractive, although the way I wear them, you can't really see much of them. I am thrilled to have found these and will order more, just in case they become unavailable.

As combs go these are not exactly inexpensive. I bought two sets as I’m constantly missplacing them. After wearing them one time I took them out and had 2 of the teeth broken. Oh well I thought maybe I put them in wrong and broke them..... the next day I was very careful how I placed them together and when I took them out I had broken 4 teeth on one side and 2 on the other. Well to many broken teeth and they will no longer hold your hair back!! Ok I bought the other set.... long story short within 3 days of wearing that set I lost more teeth!!!! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! The material these combs are made out of do not flex at all so consequently they are brittle and snap off. I so loved these when they are whole but will not waste my money any more. They just do not hold up!! Oh and no I do not have thick course hair. It’s fairly fine and just below my shoulders. ☹️

I like how easy these are to use. However, the teeth (tines?) of the combs break so easily. I used it twice and one of the middle teeth broke. After a few weeks, I had lost a few more. I understand that they need to be somewhat flexible so bend with the hair, but they're almost too flexible and are basically useless to me after a few weeks.

Love this product, and it's been hard to find this kind of item, "lockettes" I guess, for a decade or more now. Sadly, the plastic is a little too flexible and the teeth are starting to bend and lose their shape (thus usefulness) after a few weeks.Comfort is about getting it right on one's head so it is balanced and doesn't pull. I have thinner hair now than ten years ago, but it still matters.I found another brand, but don't know that they will last long, either. Teeth fell out of the ones I had in the 90's.I wish I could find them in metal or fiberglass? I just don't know. Excellent concept, but needs to last.

I have a very frustrating hair type. It's "violently" straight, fine, thick, and slick as glass. Most things have to be tied/clipped SO tight to get them to stay that it's almost painful... And then slip out anyway. Very frustrating. Ugh.I've used these several times and they work better than anything since perms and banana clips, lol.I got the tortoiseshell, and I'm going to get the black.If you have tried other comb type things with little success, give these a try.

I love the combs! They are well made and very comfortable. They are pricey and I would have been happier if there were two sets for that price!

I wanted this to be perfect, but fingers broke off too easily. It was great on the first day or two. I'm buying again because I don't see any better options. Manufacturer--please make more of this product without the squiggly parts (make them straight and a bit stronger). I miss my old product like this but straight prongs-they were plastic gold color that is now plastic more or less clear. I wonder if someone could make them on a 3-d printer? I would buy that!
