iOttie Car Charger Easy One Touch Wireless 2 Qi Charging CD Slot + Air Vent Combo Phone Mount for iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, Huawei, LG, Smartphones, Black

I recently bought a used Rav4 with a cd slot that I don't use. The car is old enough that there is no screen, so no worries about a phone obscuring anything important. The mount works well in the cd slot, especially with the little spacer* that forces the fingers in the slot to open wider. With the included lighter socket charger adapter, the wireless charger provides enough current to run navigation with the screen on and slowly charge the battery at the same time. I love the one touch spring loaded grip/release mechanism - easy to mount and dismount with one hand.*One small issue with the documentation. There is a small rectangular spacer (mentioned above) whose job it is to make the cd slot fingers open wider. This is not discussed at all on the instructions, and it is labeled as a "bracket," which it is not. By opening the fingers wider, the mount is more solid in wider slots, which I found useful, but only after figuring out that was the intent.

I already liked iOttie regular mount that get inserted into the CD slot, so I bought this for the added wireless charging feature. Using it with the provided wired power adapter, it charges my Galaxy S21FE at 7.5w or 1,500mAh. Maybe newer Galaxy is capable of full 10w charging, I don't know. Since most recent phones batteries are 4000mA or higher, this translates to at least 2.5hrs to charge a full battery or 90%. Certainly it is slower than cable charging, but still acceptable for me with the convenience of being wireless. I bought the refurb of course, I wouldn't buy it for full price unless I know for certain it charges my phone at 10w.

This is an excellent mount which can hold even the largest phones. It's easy to use and the charging works well, even through a case with a couple credit cards in it. However if you have a heavy phone like the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, the clip that holds this mount to the vent just isn't strong enough. It will hold at first, but after a short time, the vibration of the car shakes it loose. To be fair, I'm not really sure that this problem can be solved with a vent-mount product. The S21 Ultra is just too heavy. That said, I was able to solve the problem using a zip tie to firmly secure the clip to the car vent. The rest of the mount works great and I didn't want to return it, so manually securing the vent clip made this an excellent mount in my car. Just beware that you may need to get creative.

Super easy to set up and to use. Mounts perfectly, easy to adjust, and holds phone super secure and charges great.

I waited awhile to review this product because I wasn't sure how to feel about it. The vent clip is too long for my vent so it does not grip the vent great. I sometimes need to push it back onto the vent. The other problem I had an one of the bigger problem is sometimes the phone would connect to wireless charging and disconnect repeatedly and drain the battery life by turing the screen off and on defeating the purpose of this which is to charge my phone whole driving.With that said, vent clip still sucks, maybe if you utilize one of the other methods for mounting it may be a non issue. To be fair I have a Samsung S22 Ultra so the phone is heavy but the clip should be able to support it.Second, the power issue. The problem with this was the cable that is included with this charger. If you use the vent mount, the wire bends down to make it way to a charging port on your car. As a result, this puts pressure on the bend and as you drive it breaks the wires inside and thus why the connection kept breaking while trying to drive. I did solve this problem by buying a right angle micro usb wire. It was about $8 got it here on Amazon from star tech. As a result, the wire no longer has a pressure point on the wire and it has been charging like a dream.So my overall conclusion is this Vent mounting is not ideal, other methods may be better and if vent mounting be prepared to order a right angle cable so the wire does not become damaged over time. I give this 3 but really 2.5 stars out of 5 because it's middle of the road when you consider all things but it does work and I am content with it I just feel the initial hassle affected this score more so than anything else. The charging wire would not stay in. The road vibration alone would jostle the wire loose and it would not charge phone. The clamp was difficult to establish as well and frequently let go of the vent to fall off.

This is the best charger I've used. It is a manual, spring loaded holder. It is easy to mount and remove my phone. It does a fast charge. The motorized phone holders make an annoying noise when the phone is not in the holder, but this charger is quiet and effective.The vent mount just works! It has a knurled knob to tighten the blades on the vent to keep it in place. It has a great swivel to change to Landscape or to tilt the phone so my wife can see it, if needed.Great item, great price, and I expect it to last a long time!

I have tried a number of options to secure a phone in a convenient place in a Mazda CX-9. I can store it out of sight in the console and use Android Auto, but some enterprise apps aren't compatible and Android Auto is a little bit hit or miss anyway. The vent mount is the best location, but so far other options just haven't been very secure. They don't attach tight enough to the vent for the weight of a larger phone, and the automatic release models will occasionally just let go of the phone in a sharp turn. I was so frustrated that I was ready to surrender.This one has been, by far, the most secure. There's a knob for tightening the connection to the vent, so you have a little bit more control over how tightly it connects to the vent. The phone mechanism is manual/spring operated, which is a bit more primitive than the ones that open themselves, but it actually seems to hold the phone much better.The wireless charging is fine. It doesn't seem to be the fastest or most powerful, but that's fine. I'm not running out to the car to give the phone a quick charge. I just need to be able to use the phone while I drive without killing the battery. This one does the job just fine.

I recently upgraded my phone from a wired to a wireless charging one (a Google one at that) so I needed a wireless cradle for my car.This one seemed to fit the bill, plus I didn't see many (any) out there which supported the Google phones apart from this one, so it was a win-win already.The cost was more than I've ever paid for a cradle, but when it arrived I can honestly say that it's as though nothing has not been well thought out. The packaging was superb - 100%.I've only had this cradle for a couple of weeks, and so I know it's too early to be conclusive, but I felt I really needed to leave a review because a few of the one-star reviews did put me off, and I feel this needs correcting, as far as my own personal experience goes.It is in regards to the connection method.Having read the one-star reviews and put off by the possibility that the cradle wouldn't stay put when connected to a vent slat, I chose to use the CD-Holder instead. Whilst that worked perfectly, in my case the phone then blocked most of my navigation screen (which also is a rear view camera) and so I wasn't too happy about that.So I tried the vent holder (my previous cradles were vent holder types) and was again, blown away....DO NOT BELIEVE all the one star reviews claiming the vent holder isn't secure.In my case, I cannot believe how SOLID the unit is when held using the vent holder.My advice is to make sure you push the vent-holder ALL THE WAY until it cannot go any more.And do that VERY, VERY SLOWLY because the vent holder tongs are extremely tight, and there's hardly any gap between, so do it very slowly so that you don't put too much sudden force onto your vent slat.As I say, I now have the very best cradle I've ever had, it holds my phone 100% and does not move or vibrate AT ALL during driving.My only complaint about the device is that the USB connector cannot go fully into the unit, it goes approximately 3/4s of the way in, so perhaps a bit of a manufacturing fault.Oh yes, and the charging light is a bit superfluous as you cannot see it when you have a phone on the stand and the phone obscures the light!Still, 10/10!

Tot op heden nog steeds ok, 1 jaar in gebruik, maar 3 sterren omdat er zoals bij de meeste van deze dingen wordt aangegeven dat dit perfect te bevestigen is. Een mercedes C is alvast een klinklare ramp om iets dgl. te plaatsen. Er is gewoon geen plek. Wellicht beter review over de auto dan over dit item, maar moraal van het verhaal, kijk eerst goed waar je het ding kan bevestigen. Bij de mercedes zijn de luchtroosters met horizontale lammelen, dat zorgt ervoor dat de ganse zwik door het gewicht volledig naar onder draait. Wellicht een pak beter met verticale lamellen.

Hallo zusammen,nach dem ich mir heute fast 1Std den Kopf zerbrochen habe, warum das iOttie bei meinem Pixel 3 (Android 11 up to date März 2021) hin und wieder "schnell" lädt, aber meist nur "langsam" hilft das vielleicht dem ein oder anderen:Bei meinem Auto muss erst das Auto an sein und dann darf erst das Handy in die Ladeschale, dann funktioniert das schnelle laden. Ist das Handy bereits beim Autostart drin wird nur langsam geladen.Warum das so ist... kA.. Lässt sich aber nachstellen.

Would recommend! No issues with charging. Keeps phone secure. Easy to use and set up. No issues so far, had it for over a year.
